It better not be cancelled Beanie!! I've put too much work into it already!
DS2 was off school Tuesday too and so missed his Christmas party. He went back Wednesday though so it's been a mad dash to get the last few things done for Christmas before the boys break up tomorrow. Last night was our competition win night out of a meal and pantomime which was fab. Lovely family time. I even splashed out on some spinniny light up things for the boys at the panto - hard to refuse when the rest of the night was free (well, except £1.70 for parking!).
DH has been quite good the last few days. Long may that continue!Debts @ LBM £23,729.31. Debts @ 08/04/2016 £0 :j

The boys have finished school for Christmas :j:j.
Yesterday was DS2's Carol Concert in church which was very sweet. Back to the school for a cup of tea and a mince pie while they drew the raffle (didn't win anything, never do!). Then we had a mad dash to get some jobs/shopping done before my Sister came over to swap presents. She came with me to collect the boys from school and then left, and we went to see the new Star Wars film for Family Fun Friday. It was very good but cost £30  and that was with me being free as Carer!
DH is still in bed which is most unusual. Hope he's ok.Debts @ LBM £23,729.31. Debts @ 08/04/2016 £0 :j

Glad you had a good time at the panto
I used to love going to DS and DD's Christmas concerts/carols. I bet your two are beyond excited now they've broke up. Hopefully you're having a good day and Mr Lucky is ok and behaving himself!

Evening all!
DH was ok the other day thank goodness (and has continued to be so *touch wood*).
We had a wonderful time in Edinburgh. The hotel was very new and modern, with brilliant facilities. We made use of the swimming pool every day which my 2 water babies adored. We hit lucky without realising it as the Scottish schools didn't break up until yesterday, so the Zoo and Butterfly World were both deserted. We practically had each place to ourselves, and despite the rain had an epic time. No queues or jostling to see the animals, lots of attentive keepers on hand to tell us about them etc and the opportunity to hold snakes, tarantulas and other creatures. We had lovely meals while we were away and felt very festive wandering round the Christmas Markets. I feel very blessed that it was all paid for. We did however spend a little too much of our own cash on rides and souveniers for the boys. Will have to watch what we are spending from now until next week.
Been to work today instead of Saturday (Boxing Day). Not back now until 2nd Jan :j.Debts @ LBM £23,729.31. Debts @ 08/04/2016 £0 :j
