Oops sorry not updated for a week. Had another EA around in the week, they offered us what we wanted in terms of fees so we'll be on the market this coming week. Viewed a couple of houses today but neither were right. They were both very lovely, but always had issues. So need to work out what our compromises are going to be as there is absolutely no point in moving if it's not the right place.

Queue lots of tidying and cleaning this weekend ...
  • Good luck with that!
  • Mrs E should I update my blog more often than once a week? Does frequency of posting matter?

Good luck with all the tidying, Mrs E - and on figuring out what your priorities are when you move, thats a big one. This house I'm in now, it was really bought because I needed to move towns, and this was the best compromise in terms of my clients still coming to see me. It's cute, but I never liked the area. So when I'm ready, I'll feel good about moving on.

Ooooh, another MFW on the market. Fingers crossed for a quick smooth sale.

Re: decluttering. I'm convinced I need to do it constantly just to break even. I'm sure it breeds otherwise!

It depends with the frequency that you're comfortable with. If once a week is a good pattern for you then that's better than trying to add more content and rushing it because you don't have time. The more content you add the better as G00gle is crawling your blog more frequently. Also link to your other blog posts in your newer ones as that really helps people click through to read more.

Tidying has been more cramming into cupboards, but still I have managed to send some bits to the charity shop and the local sale site

We are indeed on the market now. It's all happening a bit quick, before it went on the website we had a viewing, so we're looking around for properties we like. Trouble is we don't seem to agree on the same things so the stress has started already.
Still I guess it'll be worth it in the end.

Oh, those are good tips! I've got a blog post I'm doing about front gardens right now, and its up there at about 1800 words, which still isn't finished - I'll find the right way to split it into two, I think. Ta!

Linking to previous posts - I see blogs do that. I've probably got enough on my prep blog to start doing that quite soon. Must start to monetise now tho - some people on the "millionaire" thread, like cazmanian minx, are starting to earn blog money - 45p from adsense, yay!

Hope you can find a few properties that you both like.

Great news about the viewing, EA must be proactive!

  • We've had two viewings, no feedback as yet and one more tomorrow. I'm so impatient though I want to find my perfect house and sell ours NOW lol
  • Sounds like you might be on the move sooner rather than later! x
