The CC has also dropped into another milestoneIf you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

You know it's about being bullied as a child - and I'm guessing it was really, really bad to have such a huge effect on you. Have you ever worked on it in counselling? Because it sounds like an open wound still, honey, it really does. Affording counselling is probably out of the question, but a self help group, even one like CODA if you can still find it, or a self help website or book to work through - they can help too. My lifesaver, introduced to me a couple of years ago by an mse forum member, is Captain Awkward. I lived in the archive there for about 6 months, and it made me feel a *lot* better about being who I am, and that's been permanent.
Thinking of you xxx
There are some places that offer low cost counselling - I am paying for mine but chose somewhere that has a sliding scale so my payments help make it available for someone else too. I was not at all convinced it would help and horrified at the spend, but almost a year later it's coming to a close and I think it's possibly the best value I've ever had. Treating open wounds is a very good description - it hasn't changed what I do, so much as my feelings about myself and my decisions.Debt free May 2016... DFW#2 in progress

Hi Beanie, how are you feeling today? Some good food for thought there regarding counselling from people who've had it.
Fantastic news that you're in the last £1k of your mortgage.:j Your first post on here in November 14 said you had 6 1/2 years to go so you've knocked quite a bit of time off over the years :T Absolutely Brilliant. xx0 -
