We tried some chairs in a local shop then found something similar on @mazon - we ordered one to try and it was great for DH so we got another! We've had them a year now and they're still as comfy as the day we got them. Have a search for "oak city lola" - that's the style but we paid £149 each by finding a seller with an offer on.

Hope you get on OK at the Drs Beanie. Bucket shaped chairs are good for getting in and out of and look nothing like an Auld Woman chair :rotfl:

    Thanks for that.

We have a Canadian gliding rocking chair and footstool - these are often sold as nursing chairs. Much cheaper than stressless chairs - I believe Mothercare and other baby care sites sell them for around £200. They are great and a bit of rocking your toes towards you just sets the lovely rocking motion in train. Had mine for nearly 27 years now(!) and only recovered the cushions once

    Thank you.
    Also very helpful :)

Oh Beanie, I'm sorry but sending flowers to yourself has tickled me. Did you wonder who they could be from when you opened the door ;) Considering you've not been so good yourself this week I actually think you deserve them. xx
