all the above and also
13: you keep going admirably when things are difficult (that's resilience)
14: and this helps other people realise they can keep going too.
Hope you will be feeling better soon.0 -
Beanie, really sorry that you are feeling so low. Others have said all the things and more that I was thinking, you are working with a really duff hand of cards at present, but that does not mean that you are a failure. Take care dear lass. xThe best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)0

Now listen here you....
You are so far from a failure in any respect.
What I know is that you are a brilliant and caring Mum (he made it to adulthood in one piece and has done pretty well for himself....that doesn’t happen without support and love from you). You manage amazingly well on what money you do have coming in and you share your ideas and experiences with others to help them. You do volunteer work to help those who are far more vulnerable. You have a fab band of friends, both in real life and on here and FB. You have a gorgeous moggy, who like most old boys is starting to have health problems....I know this is hard, but you’ve done so well for him.
Your medical conditions play havoc with your energy and mobility but that’s life, you can’t change it, only work with it. And you do. You have a life, you leave the house, you see people, you engage with others....and in doing so you brighten up peoples day.
I know it’s so hard to feel lucky when you think the world is conspiring against you but sit back, have a think about the important things you wanted from life and I bet you’ll find you’ve achieved most of them...maybe not in the way or style you wanted but you’ve done so well with your limitations.
Positive pants on please. You are a rather lovely human being and the world could do with a lot more like you."Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -

Having had a lot of time to reflect this week I think part of the problem has been taking two different kinds of muscle relaxants has not helped.

16: You are a fabulous source of support and inspiration. I remember how encouraging you were when I first started painting and "Keep Plodding" is something I say to myself all the time when things feel tough.
You are an MSE treasure Beanie

Beanie, look at your list of negatives and think about how many of them you can do something about. You can do something about diet and budgeting but the rest are out of your hands. You're NOT a bad mum and you've got some good friends - more positives.
Plus - when Mr SA was so ill and things were looking bleak, you kept telling me to keep plodding, which I did. You've no idea how those two words kept me going.
Plus you cheered me up when I was feeling down with my broken ankle.
And I'm not the only one you've kept ploddingI get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0
