My DS got a gift yesterday from the other side of his family which cost more than I have spent on :ohim. For some reason it really upset me.

Right, Missus.....you and I go waaaaaaaaay back. You are therefore old enough and wise enough and experienced in life enough to know that "value" is very much different to "cost".
DS has been on this journey with you - he knows the score. He won't be asking what was on the price tag, I'm sure!
So.....administer yourself a big old MSE virtual slap, and kindly move along.
Sorry to read about your cat, and the ice, etc etc. Hugs to you x0 -

My old boy and my 3 legged boy are both feeling it too at the moment with the cold. It’s horrible to see them so down but there’s still a purr and that look of pure love when the tuna tin comes out.
Hope your best boy isn’t too soorly xx"Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -
We get too fond of our fur babies I'm afraid. Wouldn't be without them though. Hope the best boy is better soon xxI get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0

Yes, it is upsetting.
You know it used to drive me mad when I came home & he was waiting for me in the drive & I would worry I was going to maybe knock him over.
Now I would give anything for him to do it.
HE doesent even come to see me when I come inI am a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Mortgage Free Wannabe & Local Money Saving Scotland & Disability Money Matters.
