    Wowsers re the candle! Not good. I think I would be complaining to whoever you bought it from - that sounds like recall territory to me. Hope it hasn’t left you too shaken up and the rest of the clean up today is easy.

    - When bought house £315,995 mortgage debt and end date at start = October 2039 - now £229,702
    - OPs to mortgage = £12,345 Estd. interest saved = £5,863 to date

    Candle sounds scary. I’m guessing that’s why they say don’t leave unattended 😳
    Tasks will still be there tomorrow so a wise call to leave it until later. If only I’d have listened to my own advice. I’ve been through the house today as it wasn’t too bad. I’m so stiff now. I thought I’d have finished early afternoon but I’ve only just sat down. Now I remember why I do a bit at a time 🙄

    Unfortunatly it was a present & was from a private maker.
    Clean up continues.  Still need to get a lot of wax of photo frames & the fire sadly.
