I don't really blame her for retiring. Politics and life in the top jobs aren't easy these days. I didn't always agree with her (but then I'm English) but I thought she came across as ethical and conscientious - traits sadly missing in a majority of politicians these days.....
I hope there have been no falls today beanie. 🤞Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

I was quite shocked to hear the news. I don’t really follow politics but I thought she was in for the long haul. I don’t envy anyone in power at the moment though.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4

I think therein lies part of the problem.Sun_Addict said:I was quite shocked to hear the news. I don’t really follow politics but I thought she was in for the long haul. I don’t envy anyone in power at the moment though.

My Mum's pals are with you @elantan - they are farmers and say she (not her personally but her government) have kept the farming subsidy that they should have received. And then there was the CalMac hull that was paid for in 2017 (to a party supporter amid much rejoicing about new infrastructure) that has still to come into service. Personally I thought she did much better than the Bojo crew over the pandemic, with clear and straightforward measures, sacked her chief medical advisor who went to her holiday home, around the time that DoCu was in the Barnard Castle eye test unit.elantan said:Save £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £10,020.92 out of £6000 after September

she was much better at communicating during covid, than the mess down in WM and not everything she did was awful, but she did so many awful things they outnumbered the good she did do, calmac ferries, A9 dualling, continual promises of an indy ref, messed up education, drugs deaths, lowest life expectancy, the GRA, the emails that will be leaked shortly, the missing money, the super injunctions, the list goes on and on.Suffolk_lass said:
