  • Just doing a quick catch up. Managed to hurt my ribs on Oct  15th and struggled to move. Rebus is with youngest she gets to read it first. Way back when I was haunting Ian Rankins twitter feed he said he was working on a new Rebus. I preordered that and it seems to have been ages ago until it was delivered . Later he mentioned there will be one more Rebus so I'll be keeping an eye out for that.
Did you manage to sort out your jab beanie and your coat?
The weather is on the turn here it's been cold and miserable and the falling leaves very soggy.Struggling to function I've been very glad I took myself out to the garage during the heatwave. The only cool place. I defrosted the big chest freezer and picked loads of fruit veg and herbs and cooked a lot of meals from scratch. I haven't been able to cook as in too much pain but have been able to reheat  meals in the combi microwave so haven't gone hungry.
I've always had a freezer but this big freezer kept us fed when money was tight. I bought it in 2000 when the garage was built .
Not expensive just a bigger iceland model than the one I left for the new tenants when I bought this house . The freezer and garden have saved me a fortune over the years. We had power cuts in the past but it holds the cold for 3 or 4 days  sometimes longer; It isn't auto defrost so takes longer to deice and there's an alarm in the kitchen  to alert me if there is a problem.
I seem to have spent a lot of time altering clocks that don't change automatically but they're all done now.

We haven’t had our booster jabs yet either. They’re making it more difficult this time around with the few and far between places to get it. I bet a lot of people won’t bother.
