I hope you have a lovely weekend. I feel your pain with the paint tin, they can be impossible to open, and I definitely think it's harder once they've been open."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". I agree with @jwil - definitely harder once opened. I go all round with my oversized screwdriver (a bit more leverage) but often end up unfurling the rounded edge of the lid to introduce a razor-sharp hazard elementSave £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £4863.32 out of £6000 after May (81.05%)

I opened a new paint tin last week, after the dregs of the last one were mixed with all kinds of bits and goo. It was weirdly easy to get off, though it was a really big tin - and actually, its kind of oozing at the bottom, I think its imploding under its own weight (or age
).
Good luck with the Scottish census all - as an amateur genealogist, I bet your descendants will be thanking youI have one census form for my family from the experimental census carried out in 1821 in Northamptonshire, its amazing to see.

Paint finally opened with the help of a passing friend who wanted to borrow something
Then I touched up the chips on the step which were irritating me so much
Then Miss S deceided to 'help' so no idea what it will be like when it's dry
My lovely handyman is going to spray the fence & is going to put his thinking cap on re the ramp as the paint has totally peeled of in bits & looks dire. That was heavy duty paint. Bah. Bah.
I need to0 source one of these wee hanging things for socks & bits & bobs.
As my balance is so poor I am struggling to hang things on the washing line.
Lovely sunny day today.

The hanging things are quite cheap in Wilko if you have one up your way. I used to have one but Mr SA broke it, no surprises there 🙄I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)3
