WEll done you.Suffolk_lass said:Having acquired a number 7 clipper attachment (7/8th") I can recommend a clipped cut - mine is just over a week old and I like it. Met one of the older male residents of the Village while out walking plants to someone's doorstep yesterday -
Him - "Where did you go for your haircut? My barber is shut until further notice!"
Me - My bathroom!
Him - "What you let DH cut your hair?"
Me - "You must be joking, I did it myself and then got him to finish the tufty bit I had missed!"
We laughed, and the accusative (under)tone that I had broken lockdown rules disappeared. Of course now everyone he meets will hear I have very short hair... ho hum. Have a lovely day while the weather is still spring-like

My hair is quite long, just past shoulder length so it’s just my fringe I need to cut, the rest can wait. We did an interactive quiz at a work team meeting and I came 2nd out of 11 so not a bad result. I’m much better at quizzes when I’ve had a drink and have actually won prizes 🤣

Pleased you managed to get out to the food bank but sorry it was so busy and you’re so tired. The church around the corner from me has started doing a food bank a couple of sessions a week. I’ve always been surprised there hasn’t been one there as it was taken over by the Salvation Army a few years ago.....and it’s the sort of thing I associate with them.
Enjoy your weekend - hopefully it won’t be too long until you can see family again.January spends - £587.584 -

            Right my lovely gang

As I have mentioned I have increasing difficulties with things because of lack of physio & accapuncture.
One effect of this is the increased falling & also my walking is poorer as is the way I am walking.
I currently have not one pair of shoes that do not hurt my flipping feet.
Can anyone recommend anything extra comfy.
Please & thank you

I have problems with my feet too and am finding the only comfortable footwear are trainers. I bought some silver ones with glitter to jazz things up a bit. Most of the time I’m in my Skechers trainers though. Other than that I bought some sandals from Hotter last summer in the sale that are also comfy. Really you need to try them on though which isn’t possible right now.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5

Take a look at Skechers Go Walk if you have not seen them (washable too) - very light, very comfortable (and usually on offer with someone for under £50 - I can normally find some for less than £40. They also do lots of memory foam shoes but personally I don't get these as I don't want the shoe to remember the poor angle I hold my foot at. Skechers do make boots too but I can't vouch for them.
Typically I buy from Brantano, Amazing and Skechers own site. I did not like Go Walk 4 but 3s were v comfortable (and a good price now if you can find them in your size) and 5s are fine. I always get the slip on ones, not the lace ups, and have both the shallow and deeper ones. They last me a year typically.
