Surely they can't rule you out just because of your medical issue, that's discrimination?

Something better will come along, positive thinking.

    Mm

Thanks MM, I don't think it would fall under discrimination because although I have medical issues, I'm not considered disabled, so it would just be classed as not fitting in withthe needs of the business, which I've had before.

Sorry to hear about the job. Something else will come along which will suit you much better. :T for the NSD.

Thanks Misstara, I get a bit too excited then end up disappointed, the recruiter seems to be fighting my corner though so we'll see.

Oh dear, just caved in and had a mc meal. £4 down the drain. Went in to pick up lunch for a colleague and couldn't resist. Must try harder!

I now have a new basic bank account, stupidly, I felt nervous setting up the new account in the bank, I have no idea why! I've given my new bank details to my employer so my next pay can go to my new account, then just need to sort out rent standing order, car insurance and phone bill, that should be it for standing orders, then just the stepchange payment. On track now to get the DMP in place and I can get some breathing space and focus on my hospital schedule instead of debt schedule.
Off to London for the weekend tomorrow, paid for by the ccharity for the medical condition I have, we just have to pay for parking, so looking forward to that. Just hope OH doesn't decide we need to spend any money!
Off out with friends tonight and have budgeted £15 which OH gave me this morning, which was the change from his night with his work friends last night.

HI misstara, I sent the forms and paperwork off yesterday once I knew the account number and sort code of new account, already asked employers to use the new account so I don't know how long it takes stepchange to contact the creditors but I'll ring them on Monday. I feel a lot better already and not as worried or stressed as I was so that's a bonus.

Having a great time in London so far, we've only paid for parking, a pizza for tea last night (we shared one) and a couple of drinks. Everything today is paid for so should be a NSD. 😊

Just had emails to say that two of my eBay items have bids, so that's a few more pennies to put in the pot ☺

Not checked my balances for a few days so I need to do that, I've had letters through for my new bank account and new savings account, so all is in place for stepchange now. I'm feeling nervous about it all now, I was initially relieved at taking action, but now I don't want to do anything wrong and mess it up. Can you make over payments when you're on a DMP? I'm following several diaries and people make small regular over payments on top of their direct debit amount and its made a big impact on the balances, think I need to call stepchange to check all this. I think I need to ask the new bank to transfer my SO's etc from N.
No wonder Ive been paying debt for 10 years and never getting anywhere, I have no idea what goes out when.
I wish I had a PA who could manage my money, energy levels and hospital schedule.
'Wanted: personal assistant, must be good with money, have medical knowledge, and enough energy for two people. Salary £0 with no company benefits or holidays, interested parties apply by smiley face. '
NSD today aparto from £2.50 bus fair, hubby paid for food shopping, £27.

My new hours got confirmed today, so as of next week I'll be having Wednesdays off which I'm looking forward to, this means that I'll only be doing three days in a row or less, instead of 5 and 6 days alternate weeks.
Not had confirmation of how my pay will be affected yet, but they've managed to sort it so my hours are 30 a week plus Saturdays instead of 35 plus Saturdays as I'll be starting at 9 instead of 9.30, so 5 hours a week less shouldn't be too much of a drop, so all moving in the right direction.
I'm at the hospital tomorrow, hoping to get results from recent scans and biopsies, so fingers crossed the results aren't too bad. Then I'm back in again on Friday for a whole day so need to budget for wifi and car park spends.

OHMYGODDD!!! Does anyone else's husband do DIY at 10.56 at night, or just mine??!?! I've told him to pack it in so many times because there is a child next door who has to go to school tomorrow. His response, 'well if they can hear this they can hear everything else'. He is planing a door, and rehanging it in the bathroom, the neighbours have a 3 storey so the lounge and one of the bedrooms is on the second floor next to our top floor. Poor neighbours, I'll be mortified if they complain.

EDIT - its now 11.05pm and he's HOOVERING!!! Least he's clearing up the mess! Poor child :s
