Mini meltdown and light bulb moment

I've just realised we have SOO much stuff to sell/get rid of, and I'm just sitting here being lazy.
I am working all week this week (no Wednesday off today) I swapped my day off to cover a training day, but it does mean I'm off next Tuesday giving me four days off in a row (would have been 5 days but its my rota'd Saturday in)
I think we may head up north to the in laws, but if OH hasnt asked them/mentioned it to them, it will be quite nice to have four days at home together, with nothing planned.
I don't know if I said, but I've been moved desks at work, shipped off to the other side of the office, away from my department, so I'm technically sat with the sales team now, and there are two new members of staff over near my old desk. If I didnt already feel pushed out by my colleague being given the managers job, its even more apparent now. Boo. At least the sales team seem to appreciate my knowledge of the inner workings of the office :j I quite like the change of scenery actually, and I can't hold the fort if I'm not there, so it will make it easier for them to get on with things without me if I do manage to get a new job. (sorry if I've already gone over this, I can't remember what I've talked about and what I havent, serves me right for not keeping up properly!)
I have decided to do a bit of an action plan for over the next couple of weeks:
-Sort out spare room for items to sell
-Investigate selling wedding dress to dress agency
-discuss getting rid of the dishwasher with OH:eek:
-reduce price of the items we already have listed to make sure they sell
-[STRIKE]apply for 2 more jobs[/STRIKE] - DONE :T
-Visit my parents, my sister and my grandma ASAP (this really shouldnt need to be on a list, but I work well with lists so I'm more inclined to get things done)
-get OH to send CCA request off to the debt collection agencies he is paying money to, he doesnt OWE anything, so what is he actually paying?!
-research potential new (second hand) cars just in case ours doesnt pass MOT
-FIND OUT WHEN MY NEXT HOPSITAL APPOINTMENT IS!!! (this one is urgent!)
Think thats all for tonight now0 -
Also, small achievement to celebrate when my next Stepchange statement comes through, I will owe less than £1000 on my overdraft, and will also be in the £1800's on my Halifax credit card instead of £1900 range. Its the little things and all that!! :T:rotfl:0

Morning all. So over the last few days my bank balance has reduced to £12.81, below is the damage:
Spends since 20th May:
McDonalds £4.82
Meal out with friends for birthday £16 :j
Cash withdrawal (for a takeaway) £10
Postage for parcel sold on preloved: £6.55
Tesco shop (can't remember what I bought!!) £18.76
TOTAL SPENDS: £56.18
I did make £38 from selling an item on preloved, with Paypal charges I had £36.51, £35 of which I transferred to OH to stop him getting charged overdraft charges, (technically the money belongs to him anyway as it was his item I sold)
Overall, a bit spendy, but I KNOW where the money has gone, and I still have money in the bank before payday on Friday. I have journeys left on my bus ticket, so there should be no reason to spend anything until then.
I am considering going it alone with my DMP now, then I can make overpayments when I have spare money and get it paid off quicker.
Just thinking by managing it myself (logging it all on here to keep track as I do anyway) I'll be debt free quicker, as stepchange don't allow/don't encourage over payments, which I don't really understand?
Will have a think and look at the difference it would make to my debt free date and decide what to do, as I don't want to over-commit, and be back to square one. Anybody have any advice?
Still need to send some letters off for my OH's 'debt', so going to do that today, as well as sort the spare room and list more items for sale, OH has nipped in to work so determined to get the room sorted, then the whole house is straight and we are fully moved in!!!
Hope you all had a good bank holiday weekend.
EDIT: I have just googled snowballing, as I thought that was what the debt free date calculator is where it tells you what to pay off first..... ADVICE, do not google snowballing, it is NOT related to paying debt!!! #FAIL  :eek:0 -
Been paid today, and I have a full months wages with no deductions! Will come back later and post my monthly budget.0

Morning everyone. Just dropping by to do a quick update.
Managed to sell a few more items, although still got plenty more listed.
I've sold:
blu raybox set £30 profit
local landmark plates £45 profit
lace bolero £30 profit
curtains £25 profit
Had bids on four more items so just got to wait until they finish. Been lucky to avoid eBay fees, as the lace bolero was for sale as part of my wedding dress and I got a message from someone wanting to buy seperately, I wasn't sure how to do a new listing specifically for her to bid on, so she messaged me on facebook instead so I could give her my email address to pay.
Then I got a message from a lady about the curtains asking for a buy in now price, then she messaged and said she'd found me on preloved aswell so she would message me on there and pay the preloved price. Just waiting for her to pay so I can remove the listing from preloved and eBay.
Will keep you posted, but so far so good! :T0 -
Oh, and I need to check online banking and stepchange balances to update my signature. Will log on tonight.0

Hi Mrs T,
Hope things are going well for you. congratulations on the sales. I love getting a little extra money in that way. Been trying to use Eeebay a lot more lately. The extra money is nice for treats.
Sorry I havent been around, new job and general chaos has kept me away. Trying to be here more now though.
Have a great day!
