Ignore the naysayers, AFCS is there if you suffer any problems from this injury.

Defendants cannot be held liable were the is a obvious risk to injury..such as in a a game of football, it is presumed the claimant would know the risk before hand. Parents can,t even sue schools if there child was injured in an organised game unless it was proven the ref was negligent.

I don't know how much you know about AFCS but it seems like not a lot. If you are injured whilst on duty, which he was, you can claim under AFCS.

And it is attitudes like this that massively devalue the good work *some* members of the armed forces do.
  • Begs the question why the OP didn't bother buying accident insurance. My mine is £26 PM with an additional £2.50 for sports cover including football.

Christ alive , The quality of some sections of our Armed Forces is dire now.

How exactly? AFCS is there to provide compensation for sporting injuries.

  • Where has the responsibility gone in this world. You were having a kick about and you broke your leg. It was an accident while you were messing about. It happens. GET OVER IT!

And yes, I do have past experience on this. My husband broke his ankle playing for his works team, ended up with osteomyelitis still giving him jip more than 30 years later. It didn't even occur to him to claim.
What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare

because his employer provides it, in the form of the AFCS, for accidents/injuries that occur at work
