I have a question and, hopefully, some of you knowledgeable people on here may be able to answer.

I have got £10 off when you spend £70 or more. If I stock up on, even more, wine, will the £10 off be accounted for before the 25% discount kicks in?

    For example, buy 10 bottles of wine @ £7.49 each = £74.90 minus £10 = £64.90 - £18.72 = £46.18.

Will it work like this, or will I have to spend £70 after the discount to get the £10 off?

The 25% only shows on the delivery note and not at checkout. So you only need to spend £70 to use your voucher.

one of my till spits was for clothing last week and I got a helping hand as well

Please can I ask has anyone got a TPP just buying wine?

(although I should not really ask, my wine lake is looking good and my OH seems to have gone TT :D )

    Partly answering my own question

    Isla Negra Reserva Chardonnay

the price swings up and down but at the mo is down to £4.99 - buy 10 bottles plus £4 of odds and sods take you over the £40 mark, use your £5 helping hand - that make sit about £3.20 a bottle - better than the non existent mystery wines on the Tesco wine shop :D

Good morning all, cloudy here but fine. Another lovely red/pink sunrise, just wish it didn't mean the rain is coming :(

One of my strawberries is gradually getting redder, and the grass is still growing!

Not only is my grass growing - I've got a HUGE crop of toadstools/mushrooms of various kinds all over my grass and under the front hedge ! Pulled out 2 bin liners full yesterday but its impossible to dig out all the stem system - we've only ever had the odd one or two previously but this year its gone crazy.

    Thanks for the reply.

Can't understand today's attitude to show! When I was at school I recall it being closed for snow once, it had been snowing all day and there was about 5 inches on the ground and it was still snowing. The school closed about an hour early to allow everyone to get home in the daylight. Most people walked so they were assuming everyone would be walking home, I myself had a half hour walk, most people had up to about 3/4 hour walk. And it was FUN, because I had a half hour "walk" (translate that as a series of slides, many in the middle of the road as no cars were around due to the weather) downhill :D

When it snowed people actually made allowances for it rather than just trying to carry on as normal, and they still had the track cleaners on the railway tracks, and snowploughs came around when it had stopped snowing.

Even in "my day" we still had to go to school. I think there was once when we were in the process of moving and my parents hadn't changed our schools, and we lived too far away.

Even now, at work, people who lived closer to work than I do/did, they would call in saying that they couldnt get in...well I walked in so they had no excuse  I dont know if I would walk now as its 5 miles each way, up hill and down dell so to speak, and it would take me about 3 hours. 6 hours walking for a 7.5 hour working day...
