Where do you live that the council puts rat poison out on the street? Do these poison traps not kill hundreds of cats?

To be honest, the several that I've seen around my town have been of the 'bait box' type, so admittedly it'd be difficult for a dog (or even cat) to gain access to the poison.

  • I would leave a comment on Tripadvisor, too, if only to warn people that the property is rat infested. I would leave a property immediately if I discovered that there was rat poison on the premises. What kind of property owner thinks it's OK to take money for a property where there are rats?
  • It might be mice that were the problem and not rats and to be honest, if the cottage in question was in the countryside, I would be amazed if there weren't mice in there every now and again especially if the place was left empty for a while between lets.
