I love waking up in the middle of the night and remembering it's the weekend.
Slow start this morning, with a bucket of tea to contemplate the mountain of laundry.0 -
Okay contemplation over. Jobs for today..
Washing so DH has clothes to put in suitcase.
Ironing. Yawn.
eBay stuff.
meal plan
Possibly visit poorly friend if she doesn't go to her parents0 -
NSD today :-)
Only got one thing on ebay though, so more to be done. My calculations show that we're on track for an improvement of £400 on the Amex by the end of November if all goes to plan.
did a rough list of xmas presents and budget, looks to be about £300.
Already have DS's present, got him a tablet on clubcard points in august so just stocking fillers neededTwo nephews will get giftboxed bottles of JD that DH got given from work a few xmases ago. I will research best prices and multispend offers before getting the rest in a few weeks. £300 is my target to beat.

Not a NSD today, had a sneaky maccy d's for lunch as we had a hospital appt for DH's back and now he's gone away for the week we decided to treat ourselves to some junk food.
meal plan done till next tuesday.
hung washing out in spare room
fixed vaccuum cleaner, cleaned carpet.
emptied and de-haired the carpet sweeper (- best £12.99 spent in a long while, use it daily.)
grocery shop booked for Wednesday.
DH back Thursday night, house is going to be sooo tidy this week
Doing an extra hour at work tomorrow - wow, that's an extra £6.60 :rotfl:0 -
DH's expenses paid so £45 to amex and £45 to car account.
Claim form all sorted to post to Pru (£39) tomorrow.
Dishwasher is needing a full tablet to get rid of the tannin stains in the cups. Either they have changed their formula or it's the tea I'm drinking. I used to use half a table and the eco wash, but the cups were starting to look awful.
£2.71 spent today on milk, bananas, a toy car and a can of the red stuff to keep me awake (DS had bad dream and came into our room, didn't get back to sleep for ages becasue the cat then got all giddy that I was awake. Grrr.)
HM curry from freezer for tea tonight. It's quite chilly this evening, I have closed the door to the lounge and turned the thermostat down in there as we won't use that room for the next few days. The cat will have to birdwatch from somewhere else.0 -
Stayed home all day today (apart from school walk), it was lovely. Discovered my boots are very unwaterproof in this morning's downpour.
Mr T delivery £52ish
Made a birthday card for my nan, something I keep meaning to do every time I buy an overpriced shop card.
Swept up the leaves on the patio and used the useless Aldi bin bags to make leaf mold for the garden for next year.
Signed up for the Pockit prepay card for the M&S fiver.
Did surveys.
Spent hours reading the OS posts about living properly OS.
Tried making courgette and chocolate brownies....disaster
Feeling good, though.0 -
Walked to the shops this morning, bought a toothbrush, sponge and magic gloves for the Christmas shoebox donation, chicken and bacon from the butcher and cotton wool. No papers, magazines or coke.
Managed to fill the wheelie bin with hedge trimmings, namely the jasmine which was stealthily taking over half the garden. Very satisfying.
DS has a play date after school so it's just me and the cat till 5.
received a lovely shower gel to test in the post, and discovered that we will receive £140 credit back from our energy supplier next week. Another payment Amex, then :-)0 -
DH home, got outvoted 2 to 1 and had takeaway pizza for tea to celebrate his return (he was only away three nights). So that's £25 gone.
Failed to get the £4 from VO for the week long survey, hopefully that will be sorted, then I can redeem.
Onepoll is ticking along, I have now reached the £30 mark.
Oops forgot about the carrots which need to come out of the planter on the patio, must dig those up this weekend.
I have been quite flat this week, the feeling of impending doom has been very strong at times. I have pretty much hibernated and not spoken to many people really.
Obsessively thinking about money0 -
It happens nagme. When it hits, you need to remember that it will pass. You also need to look at what you're achieving. It can be too easy to think that we aren't making much headway when we don't factor in the additional debt we would otherwise have created.Mortgage at 01.01.14 £119,481.83:eek: today £0 Emergency fund £5.5/5.5k & £200/200 cash.:jWeight 24/02/19 14st 7lb now 11st 12lb determined to stop defining myself by my mistakes.
