I'm going to wait till DH's payday on 15th April, then go through it again with him, It's not as if he keeps much of an eye on the finances anyway, he admitted he wouldn't even know if I went ahead and spent all the extra money. Well, apart from new shoes appearing in the hall cupboard.

Paid £100 to amex, £75 to cap1, and £50 to next, the amounts I'd budgeted for with our normal income.

My OH is the same as long as he has his money in his pocket each week for work he has no idea how much is in either his or my bank and although he signed the paperwork for our DMP he has no idea how much we are in debt!

Which is all very well for them, but it's us that have to shoulder the responsibility of dealing with the debt!

Speaking of which, DH's cousin is in the area from overseas and they have organised a day trip out to a safari park on Sunday. I've bought the tickets in advance to save £3. Total cost £58. Didn't want to spend the money but I know it'll be a great day for the children, and we've not taken DS to the zoo for ages.

Had a minor, albeit delayed, victory on the car insurance issue I had in June last year; they asked why I wasn't renewing with them and I told them I didn't think it right to charge customers on an 0845 number when they'd just been driven into, so they have now said they will refund me. Yes it was only £10, but it's the principle.

DH came home with a few books he'd been given at work, ooh a shiny new John Grisham I've not read yet :)

Garage bill for the fabia was only £48, they re-gassed the a/c for free and didn't fit any new bits for the handbrake problem.

Unfortunately I have a confession. After scouring the shops for a plain black v-neck t-shirt, I have bought one online. From B0den. It cost me £19 :undecided
