Good point. There are some nice houses in those areas too. Be aware that the season tickets are more expensive than the LTS line and there is no aircon on the trains on the great Eastern line though.0 -

I saw that one and it looks good, I didn't realise that Southend had a conservation area but I looked at some of the neighbouring houses to that one and they were really expensive. It does have a weird layout though so might be hard to get used to.0 -
