Old Mobile Can't Get Signal

Hi. I've an old pay as you go phone with Orange as a backup. It has credit and I keep it charged up but it hasn't been used for a long time. It used to pick up a good signal but now can't find one so I can't send or receive on it. My new pay as you go phone works fine. Might the old one have been blocked through lack of use?

If you haven't made a call, sent a text or topped up in the last 6 months they would quite likely have terminated the sim (as allowed in the T&C's).

  • Thanks for that. I was wondering if that was the case. My fault I suppose for not using it. I'll just have to use it as a clock!

Its lost as per the T&C of the PAYG contract.

The OP may want to try calling the network or visiting a store, while numbers are stopped from "active use" they should remain in quarantine for a while afterwards so may be recoverable (along with the credit).
