  • An incredibly quick one as I'm on my phone. Thank you all for not banishing me!! And also for all of the advice. I'm defo going to fight it, just glad we have an alternative to sit on whilst we do. Off to a funeral today so may not be able to check in properly until later.

Have a good day all xx

    Hi all,

So first day back at work after a several day break and I leave an hour and a half into the shift to go back home to bed. I felt really nauseous last night on the final leg of my trip home- an hour and a half on a local bus. All the swinging round corners, whilst sat at the back of the bus, whilst it's dark outside left me feeling really travel sick. I haven't had travel sickness in years! I got home and felt the same when I went to bed, and the same when I got up and drove to work this morning. Bleurgh. Am feeling much less nauseous now and eating ok, so hoping it has past! Not feeling so great about losing 6.5 hours of pay though!

Sorry to hear you are unwell. There seems to be a sickness bug doing the rounds here too. A colleague was off last week with it and my sister was off work yesterday with it. I hope you feel better soon.
  • Lovely to see you back mother nerd. I hope you have a speedy recovery.

I went to my local aldee for this week's food shop, and thought I'd walked into liddle!! They'd closed it last week for a re-fit, although it isn't much different from before. Anyhow, I walked round with my list and my calculator and got it all for £37, after £5 discount was applied, so I'm happy. :D

I have acquired 6p roadkill and 7 elastic bands today :T. I had to step into the road both times to actually get the coins, so it is 'true' roadkill!

lilty - hope Jelly recovers quickly. Glad the clothes cleaned up well!

samiszel - 10 dresses?! That's more than I own in total! Hope dh still fits into his suit...

Loveadove - travel sickness and the ensuing queasiness is rotten. Hope you are fully recovered.

mothernerd - please take it easy. You've had a MAJOR operation that has traumatised the hip joint. It needs time to settle, for the swelling to reduce. I realise you must know all that. I just feel I must say it - so feel free to ignore! - as my dad's had three (!)hip replacements, and the last one did dislocate when he was at home, just opening a door.. Please keep a phone on you at all times.

Off to Tilly Tidy my £5 voucher and 6p roadkill! Which will then necessitate a 94p TT to keep a round figure,so I may as well justdo £6!

Welcome back Mothernerd. Hope you DS's get their act together and help you. Know from experience can't relie on kids, lay in bed 3 days with a bad back and no offers from mine to come and walk the hound.Good luck.

Coffee - Complain like hell under Sale of Goods Act should be fit for purpose which the couch obviously is not. Should get a refund.

Stewby lucky you Download, Muse as well jealous. Seeing Robert Plant next week looking forward to that.

Well was going to pop out at lunchtime and get some popcorn - not wasting a sfd for that. Grandson will be tired tonight got dropped off at 7am so usually pop in on couch with popcorn and draw curtains and have movie night. Will make some flapjacks instead.

Really could do with veg/fruit food shop but will last few more days. Too much hassle shopping with overtired 3yr old.

I have put on another 3lbs really got to get my act into gear. Blame dark nights and mornings. Walking dog nightmare.

Thanks Lilt will know the dentist charges next week. Trying not to use credit card so much. Hope Jtots is on the road to recovery.

    Fmess - what is LTW?

NSD now stand at 9. Some progress being made. Turned down cinema tonight prefer to keep the pennies in my account.

Spend day today but only a tiny spend. OH's grandad's birthday is whilst I am away on holiday and as my OH doesn't believe in sending cards, I bought one today.

So £2 over budget but his grandad is absolutely lovely. A real gem. So it is well worth it.
    :o

Yeah, Download is my annual treat. I meet up with great friends and have an absolute blast. The line-up is great for me so far. There's a nice mix between must-see bands, oooooooooh bands and bucket list bands such as Motley Crue (last UK festival performance) and Kiss.
    :j

Lovely to hear from you again mothernerd. Please make sure you take it easy. Please.
    :)

    Hugs to everyone.

    NSD number 11 today :j

Went to doctors about ongoing back & muscle problem (had since birth) but all they could offer was physio again and plenty more co-codamol. Great. Not sure what I actually wanted them to do... offer me a new back? And maybe a new digestive system while they're at it?!

Friend coming round in a min for some cocktail-making... cheaper than going out and have plenty in the cupboards that needs to be used up!

    Well done on the essay.

Got my DH a beer making kit for this Christmas. Will see how long ours will collect dust before its first use ;)

Anyway, off to bed now. Up early with DD and I think that lurgy is coming back for a second round. Hope the kids manage to avoid it again.

    Evening all,

Hope that all who are suffering from the lurgy, have a speedy recovery.

Mothernerd - glad to hear you are home. Make sure those DSs look after you well, and make sure you do rest up properly.

Calling - its Lunch To Work, think I pinched it off NSK.

Today has been a spend day, but only on bread and sugar. Failed on LTW and spent £1 on a jacket potato.

I did some tutoring and got my Qu1dco payment and a small P4ypal item. I have transferred the amount to pay off a little more of my loan. However, the payment for the mattress came out of my credit card so I'm a little worse off until next week when its payday and I can pay off the mattress in full. It doesn't sound great but before my debt busting, I would have put it on the credit card, along with lots of other items and wouldn't have paid it off for ages.

Hope you've all had a good day
