    Get the kettle on, Igor, we have some new people coming to play at Ennessdee Towers! And no, they don't want any of your rock cakes. And definitely not the ferret and chutney sandwiches.

    Actually I had the last sandwich last night after the Oktoberfest, got the terrible munchies :o

    Well I'm a bit late signing up this month. Now what to set as a target? Met target last month (by the skin of my teeth) but still felt a bit disorganised so, recap of my rules;

    Direct Debits, petrol and milk do not count as spends.
    Fitness payments (boot camp and pole) do not count as spends.
    Food bought from the house budget does not count as a spend.
    Xmas gifts (for others not me :rotfl:) do not count as spends.

    Have a few things planned this month already in the run up to Xmas, plus DM birthday which could be costly, although likely to be booked in the new year.

    Ok, target of 12 NSD this month please marmite it's likely to be a busy month so I might not be able to do as many things per day as I'd like (groceries in diff shops etc) so a lower target will help me stop stressing.

  • Doubt I'll make it out of the house today...too much to do to prepare for school and not starting the online Christmas shopping until I've made a decent list so going to declare NSD #1 nice and early today! Now must get down to business and do some planning!!

    The Chicky Ferret Catering Company, marmite? Known as CFC for short? Like the CFCs (chlorofluorocarbons) found in refrigerators, but twice as deadly? They'll have to find a better advertising slogan than that.

    Anyway, back at Chateau Nargle...

    Mid-afternoon in the skies over Chateau Nargle, a large black helicopter appears, having made a hasty departure from.Munich after the NSD gang Oktoberfest scandal......it descends and lands smoothly on the Chateau Nargle helipad.

    Two figures climb out. No, make that three, there's also a hairy four legged one wearing pink sparkly stilettos. The taller of the other two wears a voluminous black satin cape trimmed with diamante over a pair of jeans and a "Nargle rocks NSDs" tee shirt. The smaller one follows, carrying 8 suitcases, a battered briefcase containing a collection of well-used and sharpened chefs knives and a rucksack with an eclectic collection of recipe books including that must-have edition of Fanny Craddock and Heston go Vintage Fusion.

    A brief call in at Chateau Nargle to check the post, and switch on the central heating. Then into the Chateau Nargle coach (pulled by the lightening fast Narglenags) and it's off to Ennessdee Towers to see if the rest of the gang have arrived.

    Now, Igor, the gang will all be ready for a nice cup of tea after their journey. Pity we won't be allowed to go to Oktoberfest again, but never mind, just hope kerri was able to smuggle her pole back in. And knitwitch her broomstick. And where marmite hoped to hide that catering size pack of Bratwurst I do not know!

    Ah, here they all come, looks like they managed to have a whip round and pay all the fines so that's ok.

    Come on in, guys, Igor's got the kettle on, and let the November challenge begin!

    Put me down for NSD number 1 please, marmite!

    Well done Knitwitch, that will keep the Berliner Polizei happy, and they might even forget to report us to Interpol!
