No NSD for me today, had to buy petrol. Made use of the spendy day though, by nipping to the supermarket for a few bits to make homemade pizza and strawberry cheesecake. Cheesecake is chilling in the fridge as we speak. Will have to resist eating it for breakfast tomorrowLetting Go NST #17

No, Igor, I think everyone has had enough turnip, so they won't be amused by your Baldrick joke ( as in "turnip shaped like a thingy? That's strange because I ''ve got a thingy shaped like a turnip...")
And these hot dogs taste weird....that reminds me, anyone seen the Narglehounds lately? One life - your life - live it!0 -

Oh no, how annoying - did you know he was going shopping and will it cover you for the month or is it random carp? I expect he was trying to be helpful - perhaps in future (depending on who tends to plan and cook) you could have a running list on the fridge or something of items that need purchasing?
I did know he was going to go shopping, as we did need to, but he has bought branded things where I would have bought own brand (neither of us have ever noticed the difference for most things) and he has bought 'nice' things he enjoys to cook with, which is fine, except they are things that I tend to avoid buying as we end up throwing remnants and remains away!
He does all the cooking, literally, so I can't complain too much, but we did have a list, which I took to do an online shop, then he said no don't worry I'll go after work, so I gave it to him and I suspect he did get everything on the list, just more too!

I've just read the first 3 pages of this thread and been looked at strangely by my work colleagues after laughing hysterically. I'd like to join in with this merry fun and frolicks if I may.
As you'll see from my sig, I've already targetted 15 NSD's having seen the idea on another thread. I have 1 so far (Boooo) but hoping to get 3 this weekend...that includes a trip to the football.
I will be classing any day that my bills etc. get paid as a NSD as they are all D/D or SO anyway.
Now a question...I'm doing ths on a personal level (i.e. not with the OH) and I pay into a joint bank account with the OH to pay for the food shopping etc. Can I count the day that goes into joint as a spend day and when we actually do the shop count as a NSD (obviously only if I don't spend anything else)?
I'm also going to put my £7 5-a-side football money aside on a spend day so that it's budgetted for and Thursday's can be NSD's if nothing else goes out.
I hope that's ok, if I'm breaking/bending the rules, please just tell me and I'll try to amend!0 -

You know,I would be tempted to class this as a necessary spend, meaning you can still claim an nsd.kermit2601 wrote: »I've just read the first 3 pages of this thread and been looked at strangely by my work colleagues after laughing hysterically. Welcome kermit2601! :hello:
It's always great to see a new face. This is a great challenge -obviously,and if we can all let our hair down and have a good laugh whilst we're at it,then it's all for the better.
It's really you individually who makes up the rules.A lot of us have various budgets, and if we don't go over the budget, then count it as an nsd.If you haven't already, look at the big post on Page 1 which explains it in a bit more detail.
We often have a get-together and a bit of a knees-up at Ennessdee Towers, under the watchful eye of our Head Chef Igor. Now Igor has a very special style of cooking;basically it's inedible, but please don't tell him I said that.He has a lot of sharp knives lying around, and feeding the masses is really a labour of love for him....The Chief Bottle Washer is Hubert The Donkey.Hubert loves anything girly (pink'n'sparkly),is very eager to please, and is just a tad incontinent. It's impossible to get cross with him,as he always means well.
We are given to having a jaunt away from time to time. Our last excursion was to the Oktoberfest in Munich.Much fun was had, though unfortuanately it ended in disaster,as the whole tent came down with food poisoning (after being banned from the food halls, just because we were a bit merry,we all ate some of last year's sprouts curry which Igor had brought with him as emergency rations),the band were locked up because of lewd behaviour (strip tease on the last night),and Nargle and I were caught by customs attempting to smuggle out lots of bratwurst!
So there you have it...I hope that you enjoy the challenge.0
