Changing 3 Tyres - Should I do 4
So 3 tyres on my DD's Peugeot 107 are low on tread and I have decided to change them now before winter/wetness
Just a query - would it be better to change all 4 - or just leave the 4th until it needs to be done
driving is mainly urban with some 30-40 mile trips out

I think I saw you in an ice cream parlour
Drinking milk shakes, cold and long
Smiling and waving and looking so fine

I would. How much is left on 4th?0

What's the spare like?0

Yes. No question about it.0

A new tyre has 6-7mm of tread. Use this figure to decide if the best of the four is close to needing replacement. If it is 3mm or so I would change it.0

I'd do the 4, especially if the existing 4th is a different make to the 3 you were intending to fit. Also, you'll probably get a better discount on 4 tyres rather than 3 now and 1 later.0

8mm is the norm for new, but I agree with change all four depending how worn no 4 is.
Some cars I would say change all four together anyway.0 -
I'd change all four and keep the best one as spare if it is better than that one.
Braking with mixed tyres can be a bit dodgy in some conditions.0 -
diablo676 has got it spot on. Especially now that the weather is turning, one older worn tyre may affect the handling in an emergency maneuver.
Is your life really worth the cost of one tyre!Beware rogues, scoundrels and cowboys. We will hunt you down, then expose and eradicate you from our daily lives.

I'd change the three unless the forth was close to limit, like less than 2.5

get one of those 25% off deals for 4 tyres and you're getting the 4th tire free.0
