Of course the other explanation is that they suspected something more serious was going on (drink driving or something) but soon realised that was not the case and had to think of something to say to you!

I guess it also depends on the manner in which the car went round the roundabout, if on 2 wheels for example then it might not have been the direction but the way it was being driven :)
Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.

I do this EVERY DAY on my drive home from work. The roundabout is big enough with trees on that you cant see the whole thing, and when exiting the roundabout i stay in the right hand lane of the road im entering, whereas the queue for turning left from where ive come generally enter on the left hand lane. I'm not inconveniencing anybody by doing it, just using a bit of common sense...

I love it when people like you do this. I refuse to let them in and drive close to the car in front (ready to brake if needed) so they can't get in. If they force their way in then they'll hit my car which will be their fault.

I love it when they come to an abrupt stop because they can't get in, although it does sadden me when someone does eventually let them in.

I'm the kind of driver who when some berk is getting all touchy touchy about people not moving over at 800 yards to go and making use of the free tarmac and moving over where the roadworks instruct them too, ill let you have your little !!!!! fit and tailgate over the poor person in front of you and ill sit behind you instead perfectly calm and safe in the knowledge that you have just made yourself look like a complete selfish fool and the person behind you gets my thanks and respect for being a considerate driver...
