    I am lactose intolerant/cannot eat dairy! :)
:TA big thanks to all who post and sprinkling lucky dust to all who enter :smileyhea
  • I entered some last year but had no luck.

Do you HAVE to enter advents everyday - say like the Babyliss or Remington ones or can you do one day here and 3 there (when I remember)? I was confused by that last year...

I did set reminders on my phone but that is sometimes a best laid plan... :rotfl:

Looking forward to them though. I always know what I would like to win - disappointing year for wins, so fingers crossed the advents produce some results for me. ;)

    :A
:j Thanx to all who post the comps!!! :j

I still don't understand what you mean by folders and how you set it all up - sorry I am new to this this year and as confused as can be!!

Most of them, you can enter any day(s) the prize takes your fancy.

I don't remember coming across any that required you to enter daily, although sometimes there might be an overall grand prize for the 24th that has required you to enter on a certain number of days to qualify for that part of the comp... Read the Ts and Cs: if X number of entries are a requirement, they will tell you. Someone here will also likely spot something like that and add a message to the thread.

If I'm honest, I think there's a bit of melodrama here about them. :o

I have been doing them for a few years now, and I enter what I want to win, and don't enter for things I don't want. Just like with any other competition.

Totally agree. To be honest last year there were not that many I was interested in anyway - so many were mostly just discounts and offers. I am always selective about comping anyway so I can't imagine wanting to enter every advent going!
2018 wins: Aspinal of London jewellery box, Boudavida gym outfit, HP Pavilion laptop, The List party tickets, All Points East festival tickets, Kiehls moisturiser, By Terry cc serum, Nars Liquid Bronzer, Benefit highlighter, Nars illuminator, Fresh advanced lip trio set, Cetaphil sample set, signed copy of My Absolute Darling by Gabriel Tallent

I agree with Jess - even some of the big companies who run Advents have maybe 8 comps and 16 offers (eg free postage with this code/20% off etc) making up their 24 days.

I am also very selective and don't bother with comps to win a pair of Christmas socks, box of crackers, a selection box etc as even if I did win, I know I would probably not receive them until after the new year anyway and who wants to wear Christmas socks in January!?

Ahhhhhh Biker, Biker, Biker ChicK - that is lovely! I do have the odd piece of dairy free chocolate but maybe once every 3 months or so! My mum usually buys me something special like that for Christmas :)

Nope, I'm not organised at all. and it's because my Excel sheet that I have had saved for the last couple of years seems to have mysteriously disappeared, so I'm having to mess about with Excel (aaaarrrrgghh) nearer the time and make my new list up.
I'm just going to have a look through them when a full list comes up and just pick and choose. Hopefully though, I'll do a bit better than in previous years this time around. I'm not really lucky when it comes to the advents tbh, so fingers crossed.
