Yep 30th Nov is a Sunday (the one day of the week where I have no committments) so that is a whole day full of sorting the advent comps I am interested in into folders.
Its what I have always done and has worked OK for me so far. I wont get myself tied up in knots about it and will do what I can to enter as many as possible. After all I have been too addicted in the past to comping where other areas of my life have suffered. Now its whatever I have time for and the odd win is a bonus, not the be all and end all.Current Aims: Laptop/PC, decent money, holiday
Best Wins: Ipad, Nintendo 3DS, £400 Shopping Spree at LK Bennett, £100 Boots vouchers
Total Wins (Since April 2012) £3442.56
Big thanks to all who post comps :T:beer:0 -
For those asking, my Advent folders are what have set up in Google Chrome - I have several set up already for my dailies, weeklies, monthlies etc. - these are ongoing throughout the year. Then, in addition, I set up Advent folders for eg 'Early Advents' (Advents that you can enter from midnight) 'Late Advents' (Advents that can not usually be entered until the afternoon/evening) I also have folders for Fackbook App Advents, Facebook L&S/L&C Advents, Twitter Advents, Weekly Advents etc.
Maybe others could post tips on how they organise their Advents too to give newbies a chance to get organised before the Advents start.
My biggest tip to newbies is be prepared and organised as the advents are manic and the first week is the busiest time! I usually find once the first week has passed, I can see which Advents I really want to continue doing or give up and the aproximate times the companies post up their next one. Plus - be selective or you will not have a life and by the time the big day arrives you will be tired, stressed and wished you'd never bothered!!:TA big thanks to all who post and sprinkling lucky dust to all who enter :smileyhea0 -

Pfffffft! Advents schmadvents! Last year was the reason I stopped comping for so long - advents about finished me off.
This year I will
1. REALLY only enter for the ones I would like to win
2. Cross my fingers the Currys advent comes back again
3. Not neglect the main board in favour of advents
4. Not forget what Christmas is really about.
Mind you, I have said this for the last 3 yearsI've just created my folders - I do FB A-M and N-Z and Web A-M and N-Z - I don't bother with Twitter. Splitting them up into 2 chunks makes them slightly more manageable......maybe. We'll see. Whatever happens let's hope there are some decent wins and no one gets too Advent crazy :T
Comps £2016 in 2016 - 1 wins = £530 26.2%
SEALED POT CHALLENGE MEMBER No. 428 2015 - £210.930 -
I picked around 30 last year, the usual ones with the best prizes, and said bye to the rest.
Did pop in to the others, once a week for a quick skim for any decent prizes.0 -
