i have always thought that if it is christmas themed and can be entered more than once then it is an advent0
-
Comps should be linked in the daily or weekly or advent threads - never in more than one of them, or else some people will enter more than once.
Don't forget the real purpose of the advents is that those who maintain the normal daily thread(s) would be swamped in December if all the comps were added there.
If an "advent" comp is linked in the daily thread, leave it there, and vice versa. Extra work transferring comps between dailies and advents is the last thing needed at such a busy time.
Maybe one or two comps in the advent thread will still be ongoing in the new year and these can be moved to dailies when the advent thread is closed and the rush is behind us.0 -
Well I am ...
I have my folders ready so I can save all the daily/weekly Advents I wish to enter.
I have booked my hair appointment for the 29th November (before most of the Advents start)
I aim to put up my decorations on Nov 30th (I don't dust as much once they are up)!
I have already started making and freezing meals so less to cook during the Advents!
I have plenty of wine in stock to keep me going!
I have done almost all of my Christmas shopping and plan to have all my Christmas cards written by 30th November.
Oh and I have got in a supply of Proplus to keep me awake too!
Yes, I think I am ready! Hope you are too!:TA big thanks to all who post and sprinkling lucky dust to all who enter :smileyhea0 -
YUp all ready - folders set up.
I am working less hours in decemebr - not for advents but because its our quietest time at work so I take all my lieu time. Means I can enjoy the advents and more of the run up to xmas. Unusual for me as my old job was super busy at xmasWon a holiday every year since 2014......come on 2021!!

I am so not ready
All I've done in preparation is sit and worry about how I'll cope with getting them done, in addition to standard dailies, main board and - uh- real life!
In addition to the usual Christmas shenanigans, this year I'm also devoting lots of "spare" time to helping my mum pack up her house ready to move, so I just don't know where I'm going to fit it all in!! I need a time turner!!0 -
BlueBella - same question from me - what's all this magic about folders? Is there a cunning way to save competitions to do later?2015 wins: £100 Love2Shop voucher, chocolate pizza, Books x 7, ready-to-roll icing, runner-up poem published, heart locket pendant, DVDs x 5, Boost drinks & USB mini fridge, bottle of Rioja, Carole King CD, chocolate hamper, movie goody bag :cheesy:0

stop getting excited0 -
That's pretty impressive BlueBella. :T
I've bought paper and cards and plan to have the presents wrapped and cards done by the end of November.
Trying to get ahead on the main board so that there will be less to do on there.
I really must try the folder approach this year, I've never been that organised before !
However I do find that real life sneaks up and nobbles my plans when I least expect it.0 -
I have decided that for the sake of my sanity, I won't really bother with them. If I stumble across them as I do the main board, or on twitter I may enter now and again, but I shall simply ignore most of them. Last year was the only year I have really bothered doing them and I didn't win enough to make all the effort worthwhile.0
