Can I just apologise to Old-Stylers for the hitherto tone of this thread :rotfl: It was started over in DT.
  • Always use cold water on blood stains, never warm or hot which will set the stain. Start by flushing the stain with lots of cold water and use a clean white cloth to pat bits of the stain out. Get as much as you can out this way before then gently rubbing in a wool laundry soap with your fingers, flush it out and repeat as necessary. If this doesn't work, then try taking it back to the dry cleaners and telling them specifically what the stain is.

Completely agree with FairyPrincessk - cold water only. If you don't have wool laundry soap, a basic block of hand soap will do the job as well :) I'd flush, soap, flush, blot and repeat as necessary. (Don't use too much water - you don't want to soak the whole suit, just the area of the stain).

You should get there with shear effort :D

Thanks for this thread. My little one keeps asking why I'm chuckling away to myself!
