I'm making OH a christmas cake and some boozy fudge. He will also get boxers and socks (as he does every year. How his boxers turn into skirts I will never know.... :rotfl:) I don't bother getting him aftershave as his mum gets that.
He'll just get stocking fillers from me unless I get bonus.
I've told him to buy me Monty Python at the O2 DVDOur Rainbow Twins born 17th April 2016

I've bought two tickets to an event I know he will love. He will be given them on the understanding that he can take whoever he wants as long as it isn't me!
I'll also buy a couple of other small things, eg sweets, book.
He's really hard to buy for and in the past he has had the usual - clothes, aftershave, sweets, books, CDs, watch etc.
This year I'm so glad I've been able to get him something he really won't be expecting and will love.0 -
Bought DH a bass guitar a few years back (plus amp) as he mentioned he'd always wanted to learn to play and spotted a good deal on ebay. Last year it was a turntable for vinyl records which he was thrilled about
This year its a surprise (just in case...)0 -
Got my OH a couple of PS4 games, a few Blu Rays and Blu Ray box sets, new PS4 controller, PS4 camera, PS4 charging station and a couple of band t shirt/hoodies I know he will like.0

We don't buy each other anything!
So...I spend X on you, and you spend Y on me, all well and good, but do we NEED it?
Nah, it is totally rubbish IMV.
But we have a weekend away in January courtesy of the dosh we saved not buying each other any tatt pressies.
That is always wonderful.0 -
A couple of books he has mentioned wanting to read, some fancy toiletries, and an ice-cream maker. He needs some new t-shirts as well so will buy him a couple online.
His birthday is only a few days after Christmas which makes it tricky because I have to get two sets of presents close together - I don't want to buy him joint presents because a lot of his family do that, and it doesn't seem fair that he misses out on proper birthday things just because of the time of year he was born.0 -

Part of the reason we don't do xmas presents is to try and readdress that balance! DH has a birthday soon after xmas and found that people (even relatives) would focus on xmas and forget his birthday. We make a big fuss of birthdays and pretty much ignore xmas! It helps that we don't have our xmas celebrations at xmas - this year we'll be doing it in early december. For significant birthdays he gets a second birthday in the summer.Trying to be a man is a waste of a woman0 -
He has got me he doesn't need presents, LOL only joking.
I always buy him a pair of trainers, a few pairs jeans and a few sweat jumpers. He also get little things like smellies, chocolate beer glass fancy socks.0 -
I'm struggling with money this year quite a lot, but we're going on a weekend away to London in a few weeks. One of my OH's best friends lives in Brighton, and he only gets to see her maybe twice a year, so I've organised for her to meet us in London for lunch on our last day as a surprise for him. Hopefully he'll think that's a much better gift than anything I could buy in the shopsLBM 14th November 2014 - Total debt £8,852.54
