    Apologies if alreay posted.

White vinegar is excellent for cleaning the diswasher. Put 1/2 cup at the bottom and put on a short cycle. At the end it smells really clean and all grease/grime is gone. Much better than buying those finsh cleaners and much cheaper

Can I be silly and ask if you leave it in the cup or tip it on the floor of the machine, I also read somewhere about putting half a lemon in it, but I just got lemony bits left stuck on all over the dishes.................a blonde moment

  • I often put a lemon shell (what's left of the lemon after I have chopped it in half and squeezed it to use the juice) in the cutlery basket. Keeps the dishwasher smelling nice and I haven't had any bits on dishes (probably because most of the bits have been squeezed out?).

Thanks for the vinegar tip - much cheaper than those hideously overpriced Finish cleaners which you can only use once.

Oh I don't know  the principle should be the same, but your clothes could smell a bit. I suppose if you rinsed it throughly enough then yes.

If you try it keep us posted.
