    Hi everyone I have noticed that my dishwasher is smelling a bit and its not as clean as it used to be. Has anyone any tips on what i can use?

    I run mine on an empty cycle with a teaspoon of bio washing powder! It's still shiny and new 3 years on :)

    thanks for that am going to try the vinegar on an empty load as its cheaper than using bio but not sure it will smell great.

    Not really to do with a dishwasher but I use vinegar to clean my washing machine. Chuck a whole bottle in the drum with some in the drawers and put it on hot. I do this every month - in fact I did it yesterday and it smells fresh.

  • Make sure you check the filter too - sometimes food particles can get stuck in there and be a bit smelly. Other than that I'd go with the vinegar and hot wash solution.

    Thanks i had a good cleanout of the filter today, did not realise how much 'stuff' was there.
