The usual ill-informed tosh from SE England.
UKIP fruitcakes are nothing like the Scottish parties.

The SNP And UKIP are exactly the same apart from the scale they whine at.

    1. Appeal to thicko's that a big bad union is stealing all our money and resources
    2. Promise milk and honey after big bad union has been told to foxtrot oscar
    3. Insinuate that the rest of the people in the big bad union are a bit foreign to us really aren't they?
    4. Stubbornly ignore any downsides to telling your nearest neighbours they're a bunch of fiddling foreign robdogs

I have never been a fan of the EU. I guess if I am honest I just don't like being dictated to by a lot of foreigh beaurocrats.
However for the first time in my life I am thinking I would probably prefer to put up with them and would most likely vote to stay in. The Scottish independence referendum has changed my mind - the amount of uncertainty and the impact that would have on investments, businesses and jobs would potentially be much greater than what we experienced with Scotland.

the choice isn't between staying in the EU as it is now and leaving

the option is unlimited further integration with the EU and withdrawing
we don't know what unlimited integration will mean yet but it's reasonable to assume all taxation will be uniform across the EU and going to Brussels for redistribution, converge of legal systems (abolition of trial by jury), common armed forces etc etc.

I would vote for staying in if no further change was absolutely guaranteed but in practice I would vote to leave

Nonsense. If it is possible to have a referendum now, it would remain possible to do so in future. If the EU did change in a direction we don't like we could chose to leave then. You're suggesting an obviously false choice and it's not nearly convincing enough to fool anyone.
Having a signature removed for mentioning the removal of a previous signature. Blackwhite bellyfeel double plus good...

What do you mean change direction?

The problem is the direction it is going in now.

Some people don't see steps towards harmonisation and uniting of the human race as a problem ...
If you think of it as 'us' verses 'them', then it's probably your side that are the villains.

What exactly is 'harmonisation' of the human race?
I believe Orwell and Huxley wrote about that.

For some, its already done so. So surely a referendum would be no bad thing?

The UK put in a lot more than we take out. Why?

Both Nineteen Eighty-Four and Brave New World are about sexually repressed incompetents who make poor decisions. Nothing about the social constructs in those books should be considered intelligent, plausible or prophetic. I recommend considering reality, not fiction, when making important judgements.
