Hate it. Really do.
Heard them on and off for about a week already, sometimes at 2 am on weekdays
Wish there was a total ban on those apart from official maybe displays one per borough per year.
Should b absolutely banned for private use.

We've had them for about 10 days now. The boy dog is not happy. There is something delicious about writing the first words of a story. You never quite know where they'll take you - Beatrix Potter0

our dogs have been going barmy when they go off

since the beginning of October here - but mostly on weekends. after they come home from the pub. Cat doesn't mind it - but I do! I quite like to go to sleep before midnight.0

Diwali is today - 23rd October ....sigh.....probably means that from now til new year, we'll have fireworks every weekend ......
Good job that the current canine members of the family are gun dogs and like "bangs" - and that Sam and Lily are indoor cats! Otherwise we'd be suffocated by the DAP diffusers in every room!0 -
The town where my mum lives has been plagued with fireworks going off for most of the weekends during summer - it seems fireworks are the new way to celebrate Asian weddings and each wedding wants to outdo the last. it's a way of showing everyone how much they have spent on the wedding.
Luckily mum's dog isn't too bothered by the noise.0 -
They have gone completely crazy here with the firerworks rght now.
Cats chilled out asleep.
Zara tries to get in a 10 cm gap under my desk, poor dog....0 -
We've not had any here yet but the two older ones don't bother with them anyway, they stand outside & watch then get fed up & go to sleep.
The pup might be a different thing altogether, he's only 5 months & ain't had the pleasure yet!Always try to be at least half the person your dog thinks you are!0 -
Zara used to just stand and watch them till last year, something spooked her and now she is scared0

I made a hiding box for one of my cats last night based on a vid someone posted a while back on FB.
Basically you take a box and completely cover it with an old T-shirt(good thing I'm a big lady) with sticking tape to hold it in place with the neck hole positioned as the entry. Casper seemed to quite enjoy hiding from hubby in it last night.0
