8 month old faulty TV and Currys?

No I said the manufacturer replaced the screen/frame and that 'new' frame had the same damage.
Samsung said its a new part and shouldnt be damaged so they dont want to do anything further.
Sale of Goods Act means I take it up withthe retailer not the manufacturer.
That's the problem, you didn't initially. You went directly to the manufacturer without involving the retailer.0 -
If the frame had the same damage then could it actually be the same frame? Usually if a screen is replaced the frame doesn't need to be unless it got damaged while taking the old screen out.
They may have fixed an actual screen fault but not seen a damaged frame as being a manufacturing fault0 -

They told me the screen and frame is one solid unit - its definately a different frame as the damage is in different places0 -
Wait a minute, this is all about damage?!
If the television is damaged, then neither the retailer, nor Samsung are likely to do much about it, as damage isn't covered by either the SoGA or any manufacturers warranty that I know of.
I assumed we were talking about a fault, and then it came back damaged.
You've made the SoGA path more difficult now though, as someone has since tampered with the TV (Samsung) without the retailer getting involved.0 -

The first repair was due to damage caused during the manufacturing process when that was being repair the same damage occurred (manufacturer process fault) and it was returnded to me still damaged.
I went to the manufacture as it was less than 12 months and still under their warranty.
Funnily enough when I called Currys to explain the situation, before I said anything they said I needed to contact the manufacturer as less than 12 months old - so the retailer tried to pass the buck before hearing that I already went to Samsung for a repair.0 -

If the TV was damaged during manufacture why did it take 8 months to get sorted? Surely you would have returned it as soon as it was opened.
It is really difficult to understand what type of damage you could possibly be talking about for it to be left this long, have you maybe got pictures to help us all understand what has actually happened to the TV?0
