I would like to pass on some of my experiences with travel companies on the high street and online and save you hundreds if not thousands of pounds on package tours.
We are a family of five and I have two boys and a girl, ages 14, 17, 20 years of age,
And we decided we would like to go to Orlando Florida on International drive. I went with an open mind as far as accommodation i.e.: hotels or apartments and flights. First I went to Thomson who verbally said about £5500 as we are a family of 5 adults
but as he sat us down and looked at it in more detail, with a flight from Manchester flying into Sanford airport with bus transportation from airport to accommodation and back, staying in a two bed apartment called Enclave Suites for two weeks they manage to get the price down to £4400 I thanked him for his time and asked for a print out of the package. As I live in Glasgow there was the possibility of a saving flying from Manchester. The following day I went to my local travel agents, First Choise and gave them the details from the previous day, they could do the exact same holiday for £600 less at £3800 once again I thanked him and asked for a print out of the holiday and I went across the way to Thomas Cook, gave them the same information backed up with the written quote from First Choice surprise surprise thy could give me the exact holiday for £3300 that’s £500 less. By this time I could not wait to try my luck with the many travel companies that use the internet to sell us holidays. First I used a site called Travel City Direct where you can book a holiday from there website and again to my surprise could give me the same holiday but flying from Edinburgh and with a hired Jeep 4*4 SUV for £2800. With that information I phone a similar company in London they said the best they could Offer was an extra £50 off making that £2750. By this time I thought I had squeezed as much as I could from my two days of effort. I made one last call to Travel City Direct were I previously got a quote online and to my amazement there price was even lower for the exact holiday they Quoted online, £2545 which I gladly booked. Now that’s what a call a result
    Sorry I did not give you dates 15th june 2010 14 day's.
