    Evening everyone.

My partner and I went to america in june with american airlines and had a horrible return journey... Because of this I complained and received $300 towards a future flight each.

We were thinking of going to new york in december and the cheapest I have found with american airlines so far is £359.80 pp

We can be flexible with the dates but were looking to go around the 5th December for 7 nights

    can anyone find anything cheaper?

    many thanks

I would like to go to Nyc on the 25th of nov returning on the 30th 5 nights total

I have found £566 hotel penn 5 nights through octopus travel twin room

flights from Lba are £371 each these are with northwest/klm

I would continue other dates in November if they are much cheaper but would ideally like that hotel unless there are any major bargains in manhattan.

Have you tried dreammaldvies.com / dreamticket.com? They were very competitive when I asked them to quote, the lady also said she would beat any other price we got for this island because they have some sort of exclusive deal with the operator. We decided to go to Meeru in the end though :rotfl:

Just to update this. I managed to save myself an extra £300 by ringing round some more. I had about 5 or 6 different quotes from various agents and I always made sure I told whoever I was speaking to that I had 'someone coming back to me with a price' which gave me the opportunity to ring them back and tell them that their quote had been beaten. I whittled the 5 or 6 down until I ran out of excuses :o

In the end I even managed to convince the agent we booked with the waive the credit card fees so I could use my Amex card and get cashback. :T
  • Thats great bigspender and def what I plan to do in october when we book for our nov hol as we are not fixed on one island either have whittled it down to a few we would like. who did you book with in the end - will def try the waiver credit card fee as would like this added security but dont want to pay 2% for it!!
