SHARP LC50LE751K
From the above alone I would say there is nothing there to suggest it plays movies from a USB stick. It says it has a media player via DLNA on your network - aka streaming. Then says you can record TV onto a USB stick rather than play something recorded elsewhere and then stuck into the computer
Looking at the Sharp website however it does say its supposed to be able to play from USB but the manual has nothing about it at all.
The manual http://www.sharp.co.uk/cps/rde/xbcr/documents/documents/Marketing/Operational_manuals/LC39LE750-LC39LE751-LC39LE752-LC50LE750-LC50LE751-LC50LE752-LC60LE750-LC60LE751-LC60LE752_eu3_en.pdf however does show that there is a third concealed USB port on its own round the back which is where the WiFi dongle is supposed to go thus allowing you full use of the 2 USB ports on the side.0 -

The audio problems are pretty common with MKV files, as they tend to use different audio codecs, that alot of players simply dont understand.
theres more to video files than the container they are in, an MKV file can use lots of different video and audio codecs, all with lots of different settings. Also video and audio formats are changing constantly, so its simply not possible for devices to be able to support every format. They just focus on a few key formats, and everything else is just hit and miss0 -
Link to the manual and info about the third USB socket was provided earlier... see post #19.InsideInsurance wrote: »The manual http://www.sharp.co.uk/cps/rde/xbcr/documents/documents/Marketing/Operational_manuals/LC39LE750-LC39LE751-LC39LE752-LC50LE750-LC50LE751-LC50LE752-LC60LE750-LC60LE751-LC60LE752_eu3_en.pdf however does show that there is a third concealed USB port on its own round the back which is where the WiFi dongle is supposed to go thus allowing you full use of the 2 USB ports on the side.
