It looks like you are in the right place for it.
My Greek friend says......"Yes, it translates as 'cheese for toast'. When that phrase is used they are usually referring to any English cheddar as opposed to local produce"
Edited to add...... My English friend who lives in Greece says.... "The cheese used for toasties here is what I always call 'plastic' cheese.Sliced cheddar, it is not, neither is it those fiddly little individually wrapped Kraft slices.I suggest the poster tries LIDL or ALDI as they do a good variety of processed slices - the gouda type seem to be the closest."0 -
thanks!
in Greece when we say "cake" we mean this:
(delicious, not too sweet, perfect for tea or coffee)
is there anything similar to this here ? and how do I ask for it?0 -

You could try Panettone. It's similar but without the chocolate marbling. It's traditionally an Italian Christmas/new Year treat so there's lots in the shops at the moment. Lidl has a good value one.0 -
you could make one?

if you do home delivery Ocado have lots of products not easily found in other supermarkets and they do an offer for a good discount on your first order.0 -
