G tech Air ram

Just my opinion but i think an effective vac needs a plug. We have had a dyson upright for a fair few years. I'll admit i was sceptical at first but even in our very pristine home, it still picks up stuff,,lord knows what it is but the bin fills up with it..a very effective machine..Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..0

You know what.. I don't believe they do. I think the gtech has got it partially right - for carpet, at least, I don't think a dyson vacuum does as good a job - experience with a DC01 and a DC08 (I think!) here. What it needs is a more reliable collection system that doesn't get mess everywhere, a decent amount of suction and an option to disable/retract the brush bar for hard surfaces. Battery technology is getting better - in the next few years we'll see something that matches my description and the idea of trailing the cable around everywhere will end up being foreign to most people.0 -

I hear you,,though i think its the battery tech that is the Achilles heal of many such bits of apparatus.
For instance i had a trade grade cordless drill. When it was around 3 or 4 years old the batteries died. The cost of new batts exceeded the cost of a whole new drill (with new batts). I wonder how much a Gtech air ram batt will cost?Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). It's one of those shopping channel things which usually don't live up to their promise. Just like those magic paint roller things.0

I think people that buy stuff like that don't have better things to spend their money on..
I bought a 100 quid hooray Henry vac before Christmas, i mostly have laminate floors but it sucks like something i've never experienced before. And there's a head with bristles on it that can be used to get dust of the skirting board or cat hairs off your socks.
I have had it months and use it almost every day and haven't even change the bag inside it yet. Will have to have a look at it tomo, must be full to bursting but still got great suction.0 -
Does anyone have experience of the new Air Ram (mark2) or the K9 (mark2)?

Are they better than the previous models?
Is the K9 better than the Air Ram?I Hate Jobsworths!!!0 -
I have the new Mk2 delivered last weekend...it was recommended by a friend who has the original one.
I am really happy with it, charged it up and have used it for a quick fly round my 2 bed flat 5 times...still 3/4 charge left and was amazed how much it picks up.0
