G tech Air ram

Has anyone got one of these.

Are they really as good as they say they are.

We have a cat and her long hair is a pain in the backside trying to get it off the rug.
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.

We had one. Someone clearly thought it was good enough to steal it.

A lot of people really like them but I was unerwhelmed. It would kick dirt behind it. So I'd have to hoover my hoovering again.

They are ok for a quick clean but I wouldn't think I had to just rely on that one as it doesn't cope with hair very well.

The noise is no more than any other hoover and it does leave dust in it wake when it needs emptying.

  • Yes, I have one. It's great for a quick sweep, and for 'light use' areas but doesn't get into the corners so not so good for using all the time. It only picks up when you push forwards, and I agree it has a tendency to kick bits out backwards, particularly on hard floors.

Also, the bristles need clearing from time to time (long hair, threads, and so on), which is a horrid job.

I don't find it particularly loud, and it doesn't traumatise the cat the way the normal vacuum cleaner does.

The advantage for me is that it's much lighter and easier to carry than my standard vac, so gets used more often!! I have it permanently charging in the utility, so it's very convenient to use.

It certainly doesn't replace the normal vac (which is a shame, as I'd hoped it would).

I was hoping it would replace the Henry that we have but doesn't seem that it would.

We only have a rug in the sitting room and carpet hall, stairs and landing, everywhere else is wood.

    Ah well.....

The reviews are really great, but never sure about them so I thought I would ask on here.

  • I love my Getech Air Ram. We have a golden Labrador and a wool carpet, even our Miele cat and dog cleaner clogs and I am forever changing the bags. Now I use the Gtech most days and amaze myself with what it picks up. I rarely use the Miele now. I know it's sad but I actually enjoy vacuuming now! I changed the filters today, washed the dirty ones , and put the spare ones in. I also wiped the whole cleaner down. All done in minutes. I used to hate maintaining our other cleaners over the years.

We were actually thinking of buying the big hand held one and the smaller one together. The smaller one would be handy for the car.

Both for £299, separately they would be 349. Am I doing the right thing x

We have one and the handheld one for doing car, stairs and corners.

Husband really likes it, and it is light enough for 8 year old to use too.
It does a brilliant job of picking up dirt, including long hair, yes the roller needs clearing of hair sometimes, but hubby says it's a lot easier than cleaning our old dyson roller.
Hubby has yet to master emptying it without making a mess, but I'm sure he just needs more practice :)

It's no louder than our old Dyson, cleans as well as the Dyson, easier to use cos it's smaller/lighter/cordless, and easier to store too because of it's size.
    Definitely reccomend
