I've been Money Tipped! Debt-free and Proud!
Yay, a NSD today :) I think I will be able to not spend until Friday (payday). That's a whole 4 days, so we'll see.

Made some bread and having LO chilli with some chips this evening for dinner. Going to be looking for some nice pork recipes as I have lots of diced pork to use up over the next week.

  • Just back to the computer after a few days away.

Thanks so much to everyone for you kind words and wishes.
So far the treatment has not knocked me around too much, even managed to go camping and to a Christmas dinner foe the local motorhome crowd.

Not worrying too much about the budget, DH has been the chief cook, but I am feeling so well that I will be taking the apron strings off him, and trying to get back to normal.

    Cheers

  • I'm looking at my total and thinking have I missed something off because surely I must have spend more than that this month. Going to add up all my spends again incase I've posted but forgot to update sig....

  • Yep.... I was right! Been back through all my post and receipts.... Instead of £257.85/£450 the total is £327.88

I think next month i'm going to try and put whole months money in a purse and use that simply for shopping. I've done this in the past and find it very helpful for keeping track!

Still really happy with total consider I have just a week left. Plenty of food in cupboards, so I'm gonna do an online shop for midweek delivery (delivery saver) and get a load of christmas goodies so next month I can maybe think about reducing my budget slightly, or keeping it the same but including alcohol in it.

Only been back here a couple of months after a few months off and i'm already back to YS shopping and making much better decisions when it comes to takeaways ect

    Good evening,

Kiwiblue I am glad that you are feeling ok during your treatment, I hope it continues like this and you regain good health soon xx

Today is another NSD, 7/10, for which I am happy and grateful, but looking at the few days left, I wonder whether I shall manage to make it to 10/10.
It can only happen if the boys cooperate, but if they start asking for this and that, especially DH, who always works so hard, then it will not happen. Will update as I go.
Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).
  • Kiwiblue great to hear your not feeling too ill. Wishing you well xxx

£1.99 on a massive bottle of washing up liquid (will probably last us for a year!).

    £1.50 on hot chocolate powder.

    £3 on custard (stocked up!).

Went to the freezer this evening to discover it wasn't shut properly  A few of the softer things in there had defrosted but it was still all cold and icy, so it got shut again and just hoping it refreezes quickly and is all ok.

Was away at the weekend and came across a wholefood shop and bought a few things which came to £11.63; also needed to buy another packet of bacon as DGD ate so much at breakfast Sat am there wasn't enough left for Sunday morning (we always have fry up at the weekend). A total of £14.92 to add to signature which I'll update shortly.
