I have lost track of my food spend this month due to travelling to an interview, a planned weekend away, starting a new job that has involved nights away from home and celebration treats for getting the job:)
I am starting again on the 1st December with a revised budget to meet our change in circumstances/jobs etc.Save £10,500 - £2673.77 - 25.5%

Spends to date are now at £104.93 Have struggled to find time these last few days to read the thread so hopefully will catch up later tonight.
Have a good weekend everyone and lets hope the weather here doesn't get as bad as it is in some parts of the U.S.A. :snow_laugMARCH £62.38/2500 -
Trying desperately to catch up on the thread but thought I would add my total spends so far.
All of the spends are 3 weekly shops in aldi, 3 x top up shops in tesco and a small spend in pound land!
That makes it seem like I got loads for my money!
Anyway, spends so far are £116.73.Grocery challenge-

How did you make it SW friendly? Did you use filo pastry?
DeniseI think its not got pastry - mash potato topped pie style.
Yes your right NewShadow, Instead of pastry I used mash potato.
I used quark, fromage frais and pork stock so it fitted with the SW plan.Grocery Challenge 2024

Hit a mild jackpot at MrM today, unusual venue for me as it is out of my normal way, but I was nearby and decided to try. Lots of YS veg and fruit, bread and muffins, then a good offer on mature cheddar. Total spend £14. Going to update sig. Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).0

I need to read through the thread for the last few days but have updated signature in the meantime for spends at Ald1and Mr T totalling £34.68. I now have £34.16 for the rest of the month and should just about manage it.
This grocery challenge is making me behave. I've noticed I'm less likely to impulse buy stuff I don't need when I think about having to post it on here. I'm also managing more NSDs. Why is it so hard just to buy milk? We get through a lot but when I go to top up supplies, I always end up with half a dozen other things as well.
Off to make apple crumble with my free apples.:)0 -
Hmmm…needed food for the bunnies and usually buy it from Amazon, previously it was £11 for 10kg (compared to Pets at Home at £16). Logged on today and it is £8.24 for 10kg (or £11.99 for 2kg?!?!) so decided to buy four bags which will last us months. Has left me with only £fish for the rest of the month but thought it was a deal worth stocking up on so not being too hard on myself.
Off to Mr Ts in a bit to look for bargains, OH is coming too so will prob end up spending far too much which I'm not keen on… Oh well we will see, need to go as we need milk![STRIKE]CC1: £354.35 / £354.35[/STRIKE]
