Still on track for being under budget this month, despite buying some treats to cheer me up. (Just started on an eighteen week chemo treatment, so felt I deserved some spoiling)
Off to a family wedding today, outdoor ceremony followed by bbq. Forecast is for gale force winds and heavy rain, also we have a 300km drive, and transporting 2 elderly ladies, one of whom apparently is perpetually confused. Fun day ahead-NOT.
Really sorry that you now on eighteen weeks chemo and hope it all goes as well as possible and the treatment works. I think you should spoil yourself as much as you can
'nother NSD. Was going to go shopping but the weather was totally atrocious and not worth the thinking about going out !! Definitely have to go tomorrow as running very low on essentials now.
Hope you all have a super Saturday

I hope the treatment goes well kiwiblue!
Very spendy day today, with £10.13 of that on groceries, but this should see me through for the whole week. Much better than last! :T Somehow managed to avoid the christmas goodies in Lidl, but this surely won't last very long!NST Dec - NSD: 1/10 Groceries: 1.75/20.00 Misc: 8.10/80.000 -
Since i last updated I've spent £2.30 on eggs and Scan bran from fat club, and a further £1.75 on a cooked breakfast (flat mushroom, beans, scrambled egg and toast) on friday from work. Planned spends, but making my monthly limit dangerously tight.
Mum's arrival is eta 5 days. As I've still been feeling grotty, the spare room is still full of boxes and drying laundry, so need to focus this weekend on sorting and tidying as i won't have time in the week.
She's arriving either thursday midnight, or the wee hours thereafter. Its a busy (crazy busy) week at work next week, but things should have toned down a bit by friday - should this be an accurate prediction, I've arranged to finish work at about 2 on friday so i can spend the afternoon with mum.
It's her birthday this weekend and she's trying to give up smoking again, so I'm trying to make it something special without blowing the bank.
Solstice very kindly gave me a hello fresh voucher meaning we should have some nice bits arriving for meals. Its arriving thursday, so should feed us friday, Sat, Sun for the grand price of £1.
Mum's special requests are also coming from sainsbobs on thursday. they aren't counting in my budget, but should mean mum won't need anything else (she's got baguettes and marmite/peanutbutter/jam/ eggs) for breakies or lunches before we have chance to talk and she can tell me what she fancies for me to write myself a meal plan.
I've dug out all my agatha christie and sherlock holmes films/dvds in the hopes next weekend I can cook, then we can curl up with kittens, hot chocolate, and movies.
With that in mind, I'm going to make a veg chilli this sunday with TVP to eat in the week - aiming to run out thursday night. Eggs and pickles are going to feature heavily in my lunches this week, and hopefully its going to be a no spend week... thats the plan. That sounds like a classic case of premature extrapolation.

Hope you enjoyed the wedding Kiwi and the treatment goes well!
Spent £24.04 today, used quite a few coupons. I organised my kitchen cupboards last week and moved things around, kitchen much tidier but ended up buying more than needed as I thought we had run out of gravy, stuffing and a few other bits - forgetting they were now in a different cupboard! Oh well, it will all keep!
Total spends this month so far - £45.43. Shouldn't need much else this week, will go on the hunt for YS fruit on mon to see me through the week![STRIKE]CC1: £354.35 / £354.35[/STRIKE]

Hi All

New shadow I am on my way, I would love your weekend. I am in awe of how little you spend. I am waiting for a Mt T order as I type and will be down to the last few pennies. I am watching food network to get myself in the mood for 10 25 year olds arriving today. 2 with babies, hmmm, apple pie cooked. need a vicc sponge, roast pork defrosted and cabbage and apple cooked last night. Potatoes with Mr T.
I would so much rather be at your weekend house. Agatha is my soul mate!
Hope the wedding went well Kiwi.
Have a good day.

Mr T been, 32. so updated my signature. Hmm £10 left to end of month. Enough for milk and bread, but really, I doubt I will make it.
Or maybe I will, 1 week from today is 22nd, 10 days milk and bread, OK maybe?0 -
Hi Y'all... so I did my shopping a day early this week... Am just feeling very motivated to get on and at least I get a day of nothing tomorrow now!
So I spent £49.22p, less special offers and a £5 off £40 coupon left £40.53... but I am taking a further £12 off that because I bought a lot of vintage cheddar (half price at £2 a block!) for my Xmas hampers... the chutney is made so just the crackers to buy nearer the time, heck I might even make them myself!
Adding £28.53 to my grocery total... looking hopeful for hitting the budget this month, yay!
Edit: £35.21 for the last week of the month... eep!Debt Free Journey started 21.05.20170 -
New shadow I am on my way, I would love your weekend.
Well, i'm in Cardiff, and you'd be more than welcome if the visitors drive you out of your house. I never really have guests anymore, so I might even bake you a cake
There's only me in the house, so not buying a lot isn't hard. i tend to cook too much so have to eat the same thing for several days, but in fairness - that also means that if its been a frantic day at work i don't have to feel bad about just coming in and eating whatever's cooked in front of the laptop. That sounds like a classic case of premature extrapolation.
