The idiots we get buy something for their on a Friday night and when we post it Monday, we get a message saying they "had to buy one over the weekend because it was urgent" so we need to refund.
They aren't idiots, they are thieves, when we've had this we ask for the receipt of the replacement, never seen one yet.
The scammers biggest weakness is stories, the more questions you ask the more inconsistencies you get if the claim is false. In the game of chess you can never let your adversary see your pieces0 -
People are always very brave behind a computer! I used to tell our staff you don't need a licence to own a computer, they are just rude scammers that ebay has let get away with things for too long0

Thanks for the support and advice.
So I checked our status and we have lost our top rated ranking. Damn.0 -
This week I got a complaint from a woman who was outraged that I had opened a case for non payment because she intended to pay but had been working all weekend and her pc was playing up etc. I honestly think people believe that they have 2 days to pay so they ought to hold onto their money!0

OP don't forget to put *every* buyer that gives you grief (AKA idiot) on your 'blocked bidders list' so at least they cannot inflict more pain later.
I remember how much I laughed when I first came across the abbreviation TSFE. I just simply rise above it now - in fact I try to see the humour in these situations and just laugh at it, and thank the Lord that they are only the minority! The questions that get the best answers are the questions that give most detail....0 -
Unfortunately you will get all sorts on eBay. I’ve had someone write a very snotty e-mail to me because she didn’t like the way I was photographing my brand new items and that she couldn’t read the labels attached to them (wasn’t even photographing the labels). Apparently she reported me to eBay.
Had another who bought a local collection only item from me (but lived the other side of the UK) and then asked me to arrange a courier to deliver it to them. Told them the price, they agreed and I sent it the cheapest I could, only for them to complain that the postage was slow and very costly.
Had another who threatened me for reporting him to eBay after non-payment for 10 days after numerous broken promises to pay me.
I was in the middle of moving house and was selling off garden items at the old house for local collection. Someone bought a large item and I arranged a collection time with her and others who bought items when I would be at the property because I said that I was in the middle of moving. But she then refused to collect it because she didn’t believe that I owned the item or lived at the address and then reported me to eBay as a fraud.
Had someone else complain bitterly that they hadn’t received the item yet and that I should refund them, despite the fact that I hadn’t posted it yet because they hadn’t paid.0
