. if a thread can be an infinite amount of pages then how far is half way through?

What you do is say post 1 is post 1, if you reply and that is post 49, halfway through is 25.

You can't really get to the end of infinity, because it is infinite, so there is no halfway point.

    exactly!

I made no mention of a halfway point, and infact said in page 1.

:hello: topdaddy, struck a nerve have I? didn't want to be found out? well same old one liners, nothing helpful to add to a thread, always criticizing others, then spill diatribe when you get pulled up on things is a give away, how that vehicle heating system theory working of yours?

just to update...... friend ended up taking the trader to small claims court. In the weeks prior to the case, trader tried intimidation and threats - all of which were logged in a diary.

On the day of the case - trader turns up with a solicitor in tow. We went to the court with friend but were not allowed inside the court (obviously). right before court started - solicitor was seen joking with the magistrate outside.

End result - both sides gave their stories and the judge merely said to my friend "Mr XXXX I don't believe any of this actually happened as you say and I'm declining your claim" or words to that effect.

So he lost.......justice stunk that day.

    Thanks for the update.

That's why you need to follow the correct procedures when dealing with this and not go letting other people fiddle and bodge before letting the seller have a chance to rectify.

Also you don't get magistrates in a civil court.

And, are you alleging that the judge ruled against your friend in some sort of 'collusion' with the defendant's solicitor? That might be unwise without actual evidence?
  • Apologies for my misstatement of the actual court.
