Could it be organised so he can get a day off or at least half a day so you can take him out for a pre Christmas treat - make it a nice surprise and not tell where he going or what you will be doing?

I am taking my OH for a festive afternoon tea - mulled wine, stolen, mince pies etc in Brum - its not exactly his thing but its quirky and unusual, something we would not ever do normally and its a very posh modern building and we can go and see the German market while we are there so it will be very atmospheric and festive. We are going in a mid week afternoon so it will break the week up.
Groupon and living social are good for ideas.

I've got no chance. Maybe in January but he has already been told he won't even get dd1's birthday off (31st dec).

It's a new job he started in June. The pay is good but if he's not in, he doesn't get paid so he very rarely takes any time off unless we go on holiday.
And he's taken to working Sundays lately

In fact looking at Q clicksnap this morning OH and myself have both got carling cider listed :T for £2 cashback - rather than a free bottle like last weekend.

But if you go to the receipt upload page, tick Asda and todays date it allows you to tick the cider and the £1 dog food even though the dog food has a zero against claims.
so not worth risking getting the dog food but it would be Ok to get the cider again?

    Has everyone got the same?

You ;) and before you say he already has me.
Does he? all to himself for a night no interruptions at all

Like most men, he would probably poop himself and would not know what to do…. he would ask for a beer and to watch a game of football!!!

What about giving him some home made coupons that he can exchange for things that are personal to you both. Now before people think of rude things… I was thinking of a home cooked meal, undertaking a task that he normally does etc.

There is no point in having your house full of stuff you don't need/want. ps toblerone are in one of the pound shops!
    :p:p:p:p

Toblerones are always from the pound shop! Lol!

I could do his ironing for him :rotfl:

    Good afternoon all. Happy Halloween!

Can anyone please advise...do COS/CS offers apply if you buy in Express stores or only larger Mr Ts?

    that is dreadful.
MY OH goes in before 7 in the morning to avoid the traffic but he can then be back anytime between 1 and 4 in the afternoon. it does not end there though as he can still be sorting out things over the phone or via email anytime in the evening or weekends, even when not on call, up to 10 at night the phone goes.
Ive now got the on call rota up to 2016 and I am supposed to organise things around it

I knew it would turn to smut!

What about an evening of pampering, bath with candles, back scrub, nice meal etc. or being nice to his mum for a week, and his ironing being done for a short while!
