Turnip lantern
Thanks Izzy for that.
Its one of my favourite memories with my Dad, he used to bring some home from the farm and hand carve them for me.
He even did some for my two before he passed, even though by that time he didn't have the power in his hands and Mum said he was in pain for days afterwards.
Morning people I need a kick up the backside if anyone wants to oblige !0 -

Good morning.
I agree with tweets. The swede is the large one.Turnips are fed to pigs.Swede and carrot mash is lovely.
We didn't celebrate halloween when I was young.Bonfire night was the thing. We always made a guy and collected pennies. One year we had a bonfire and forgot to burn the guy.I remember the next morning my Dad had the fright of his life when he found the guy sitting on the outside toilet.:rotfl:0 -
Postie has just brought a Marks mailing with an invite to an Exclusive Food Event in the cafe 6th and 7th of November - Thursday and Friday afternoon at Cheshire Oaks Marks - we have to bring our invite.
It starts with a glass of bubbly and there will be samplingwhich is a good thingHave to see what OH thinks as other marks events we went to Chester city centre were
also 2 vouchers
£5 wys £25 on food only valid over these 2 days at Cheshire Oaks - I wonder if they would also work in any SS machine
I also wonder if it will be dine in weekend.
I've got my paperwork for doing the Marks current account swap so in theory I could get it all done there.“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -

Please can I ask did everyone who got the carling last weekend but only got £1 instead of £2
and who contacted COS and Quidco clicksnap eventually get a response and the amount amended?
I think I only had one reply - 2 emails to COS helpdesk and 2 support messages to Quidco but I think only one amount was amended“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0
