:T:T:T Well done QoC.
I want that one but don't think would really be fair as being debt free is down to my inheritance.
I don't think it matters so much how you clear it, it's about the bigger picture. You had debts, your lightbulb moment and what you did along the way to clear it.
After helping misery guts to sort out his PPI, I blimmin well want that one too :rotfl: he got an offer letter yesterday
Everyone's debt story is different. Yes, your inheritance sorted you out but you still lost your mum :A

I bet it was someone you know that made a note of your name and address for some reason then it got stuck into a book somehow
Was it the one locally? Just thinking, if I am not getting confused, you used to live down this way and there is a military museum nearbyWhat is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -

Depends which part of the country you are in, we had turnips, pumpkins are so much easier to scoop out. My poor dad always made me a turnip lantern and his hands always hurt afterwardsLife is a coin, you can spend it anyway you wish, but you can only spend it once.
Go as far as you can see, and when you get there you'll see further.

That was when I first came across MSE when we had big credit card debt, Mr TS had to leave his trade due to back problem, and our income went down drastically. We built up huge debt over £10k and that didn't include the mortgage.
He eventually got a liveable wage and we chipped off the debt with balance transfer deals and made our final payment the month before he got made half redundant. And up until mum passed away we managed to live off half a wage with no debt and help of the Elite. :A
Paying our mortgage off was the final thing with what I was left.0
