Actually I think toilet germs can spread even farther with the lid down - as, with the lid down, they shoot straight out. I learnt that from a Horrible Histories/Science theatre production (which, I assume, was factually accurate about that!).

Noooo! What is the answer to this dilemma then  I don't want toilet germs all over my washing

I can't see how that can be true though as the flush will hit the water then shoot back up and hit the lid. To shoot out the sides it would need to turn a 90 degree angle wouldn't it  I will have to try and pretend I havent read this and trust Kim Woodburn who has lots of good advice including putting the lid down :D

    Who is this vs please?

EDIT: Actually, yes, that is a very good one - looks like it's T at £4.99 and then the More Points is £4 off. 75cl wine for 99p each:rotfl:!

Could be vs A or S as each of those is £5.

Now, that's my price (99p) as wine costs supermarkets about £1 to make. So, just about break-even for them:rotfl::rotfl:. Sadly the extra 50p - what? are they turning into Sainsbobs?:rotfl::rotfl::eek: - makes the bottles £1.24 each not 99p each. Well done for not exceeding the caps. Think we need to get that 50p to go even further and match to something at below-cost price elsewhere:rotfl:.

EDIT 2: Sorry, it looks like I've misunderstood:( - it appears the 4000 More points is the total for two bottles and therefore 2000 each. Therefore, just £2 off and not £4. Making them £2.99:eek: or maybe £3.24 with the 50p charge apportioned. Doesn't look very good at all:rotfl: - I want them at £1, preferably below!:rotfl::rotfl: Back in the real world though, £2.99 is a pretty good price - even though the supermarket is probably still making a profit on them:(:rotfl:.

6 bottles of wine = 25% off too I read on hukd at morrisons.

Speaking of the 335g packed broccoli - with big 'price lock' signage and attention directed towards it by Mr A - still locked in to way expensive price as still not 10% cheaper than either T or M - go for the Loose broccoli instead as that is better value - I noticed, when I tried to get some Satsumas 700g with a womble today - okay 75p when Aldi in the past has been down at 39p but best A price I'm going to get I think and paid with womble - :rotfl:they have the Satsumas 700g at 75p in the normal run along the aisle (took me a bit of time to find it), but the Kids pack 550g:( at 87p:eek: is on the aisle ends, basically the first thing you see on entering the store. I found the same situation in a second store too. Very prominent signage and pricing (probably a nationwide offering that sort of signage:rotfl:). Obviously want people to buy at 87p and get less from them as it pays the store that way.

I had none of it - unlike the vast majority of people (ripped-off), I had checked online on msm which was best value by weight and went straight for what I was going to purchase. Don't be influenced by store positionings and mis-directions towards more expensive options!:money:

It's Friday tomorrow and I'm not looking forward to it as stepson is staying and this is always stressful for me :( OH has also invited his cousins lad who I'm happy to have round as he's a lovely little lad, aged 10 and no trouble really.

However last time they were both round I did something I'm now embarrassed about :o Because I'd been stressed out since Friday I freaked out on Sunday morning because the toilet had been flushed without the lid being down, despite my A4 signs clearly saying not to do this  I read that toilet germs can spread upto 20 feet when you flush  so I really hate when people do this in my house. The lads were in bed when I went mad about this and they were not meant to hear but OH told me later that Tyler had heard and it made him uncomfortable as it was him who'd done it :o:( I wouldn't have cared if it was stepson I upset since he doesn't seem to care about upsetting us but I like Tyler and feel bad about upsetting him :(

I told OH I'll apologise to Tyler tomorrow but he said not to because Tyler has forgotten about it and apologising will make him uncomfortable again  I really don't get this because if someone upsets me or makes me uncomfortable I never ever forget. I guess this is part of my ASD so I cannot hope to understand it but can people really forget if something like this happens? I wouldn't want to go back to someone's house if they did what I did unless they apologised. Only then could I forget and move on :p

Kids forget about things and move on a lot quicker than adults, for the most part anyway. They also hold a lot less grudges.....its just how kids are. Us adults could learn a lot from them sometimes ;)

As for your toilet problem.....as you know, I have a bit of a germ phobia myself. That particular issue doesn't cause me stress, like it does you though. I find being satisfied that I've cleaned the bathrooms thoroughly is enough for me. I clean my bathrooms a lot :o and Im not ashamed to say I don't share one with my kids, because they are grotty beggars :rotfl::rotfl:

Seriously though, children don't understand things like this and they are forgetful. Sometimes as an adult you just have to accept that them being children will affect you in a way you don't want it to and you won't like. For me I try and remember that Im the one with the abnormal phobia.......and they are the normal ones, doing normal things that children do. It helps ;)

I don't know about that. They were several weeks ago (probably two or three months by now:rotfl:). If any offer has gone on in M after the Wednesday, I obviously don't know about it (will pick up on it on Monday if it's still on then (assuming it's even on now)).
